How/How'd You farm your Alex

most people i know did hunts non stop when it was raining myth and got all their alex in about a week or less.

I for one pretty much gave up on relics. the time / effort compared to reward is too bad for me to justify it.

What's the rush to get your Alex? If you don't have the gil for your materia you won't be able to finish your Novus anyway.Usually by the time I gather enough gil for a novus I have enough alexandrites to get the novus just from doing all roulletes every day + doing maps.

I just did the daily quest and all the other roulette stuff for myth tomes. Once I upgraded to a PS4, hunting got easier, so I sped up my process and only hunted for about an hour or two in the mornings when windows were popping like crazy and not a huge number of people were around. I spread it all out over a long while, though, and only just hit Novus yesterday.

Farm Brayflox HM for myths
Buy Maps with Myths
Repeat

I just do daily expert roulette.
Hunts to buy with myth/seals.

I do all roulettes except for low level and MS depends on my mood, the daily quest and any S rank that pops, hunting A ranks is too boring and I don't enjoy zerg content that much.

So yeah I'm kinda taking my time here, though this is my second Novus I also took my time for the first one, I never spammed one dungeon for myth (even when everyone was obsessed with BL HM), I prefer variety.

I am currently at 18/75 (I took a week hiatus once Super Smash Bros came out) and I've found that not going out and farming hardcore for the Alexandrites allows you to hound the market for good deals on materia. There's nothing quite like getting a piece of materia that's 1/3 of it's normal marketplace price. I normally just do the dailies and buy them with Mythology tomes, but I'm sure that at around 60/75 I'll probably end up farming the last few.

I did all roulettes a day, plus maybe a few hunts for 2 maps a day back then.
