Really, first to be stunned loses? Rather than just describe how unbelievably ignorant you are, I'd rather you just switch to Paladin to see for yourself how absolutely stupid that theory is.

What were you at again, rank 31? No, you didn't work hard. At all. Plus getting marks is the easy part.

I'm glad even the folks here who aren't that into PvP are speaking against this as well, and I hope they enjoy the heck out of their sets when they do earn them.

I was not commenting on your proposal, but on the garbage thoughts you have of how pvp works and your ignorance to people that might enjoy it.

If you really think that is how pvp works, those words were the nicest I could manage to throw at you.

I do pvp for the same reason as you do, btw, and I would love to have a faster way to get the nice looking sets, but it has already been said:
The pvp gear is meant as an acomplishment for people who are willing to put some time in this game. For people who enjoy it and not for casuals who think they must have everything.

If it's not fun, it's work.

They will probably remove rank restrictions in the future for the rank 38 animal gear. Just a hunch I have since they removed rank restrictions a few patches ago for the rank 28 gear. Just seems logical that in due time they will remove rank 38 restrictions.

Honestly, this game has the motto of "eventually, you get everything handed to you" you can just wait it out and wait for the removal and then you get to wear the featherly outfit. Otherwise, in the meantime, do what everyone else has done and put in the time. I barely have any coil gear because I don't enjoy coil that much - it doesn't bother me when I see people running around in coil gear because I know they put the work in to learn those fights and to win those rolls. They earned it. PvP is no different - PvP'rs who put in the time should have some unique looks and toys to show off (not that they really do anything, glamor mainly) but atleast its something.

Fun, work, all that is subjective. I find PvP a blast and did it nonstop for like over a month (and I still do it) and eventually before I realized it, I was rank 45. It didn't feel like a job to me because I find it really fun. I don't find a lot of the PvE elements in this game fun, so I had no problem ditching dailies, crafting and other "meh" activities to PvP full time to hit rank 45. I hope they continue to raise the rank so we can max out more of those pvp abilities

So all while being annoyed with how this games pvp is, I have to deal with rotten people. While on the forums I don't make it so obvious, I try to have a good time. Try to crack a few jokes, usually get no response, cause all these "extreme pvpers" take it so seriously.

Yes, you take the good with the bad. I've screwed my team over with bad decisions and I've also help my team with good decisions. I've been on the receiving end of compliments for good play and also been flamed for bad play. It's just the competitive atmosphere that pvp breeds.

As far as "rotten players" the same could be said for any aspect of the game. I find coil a breeding ground for rotten attitudes, one slip up or you forgetting a certain mechanic and suddenly the entire group turns on you. Even in statics people start giving you an attitude for mistakes. Anywhere you look in this game, your going to find extremes.

Maybe find someone to queue with who's powers can synergize with yours and coordinate with each other. Personally, I think BLM and SMN's can work well together. I'll use an open world example, a BLM and I coordinated attacks on a main target in a heavily mobbed area we couldn't have taken otherwise. I cast all my DOT's on one target while he slept the crowd, and the I baned the DOT's through the slept ones without waking them.

The best BLM's in Frontlines are the ones you don't see until it's too late. Last night I pulled off a move with a BLM that might have decided the game, all three GC's were at a close tie and could have gone any way, and we really needed to take back Markets from Flames and they knew they couldn't afford to lose it. Four of them in the circle and just me on SCH charging in all by myself (or so it seemed). I threw Attunement as all four started melee'ing me, said 'Ok now!' to the BLM hiding behind a rock and he stepped out, dropped LB 2 on them and they all died instantly but one who we killed easily, and we claimed the flag. That felt awesome for the two of us and for the whole team. And he wasn't even part of our static, we just discussed it while I autoran to markets on my mount.

If you get stunlocked and die- welcome to the club- of the 72 who commenced a few dozen probably shared your fate in that match. Arguing in alliance chat is counterproductive (and I've been guilty of it I admit), best thing you can do is observe and learn from each death, try and coordinate with others in your party, and if that doesn't work find a friend to queue with where you can work out strategies and coordinate together. Ideally another caster so you can help each other with crowd control.

I hit PVP rank 45 last night, got to equip my flaming i110 PVP bow and it was the first one I've *personally* seen in a player's hands which made the hard work feel worth it. When i unholstered it last night- well the sea of Nexus weapons around me seemed to suddenly lose a bit of their luster in my eyes. That's what I worked so hard for doing PVP, to have something as rare as that, rather than spending my time on the relic upgrade which is a process I personally detest doing. If you can inspire yourself into finding a way to enjoy the FL experience you'll get to the same place, I have a feeling the rewards will hold much more meaning for you than something so commonplace that no one even gave it a second glance.

I actually wouldn't mind if they removed the rank requirement on PvP gear completely, instead change that "Materia effect active during PvP only" part to "Materia effect inactive if PvP rank is below X". That way your reward for PvPing a lot is effectively "free" crafted gear...

Mostly just want that because of inventory issues though... Kinda hard to have everything in the game leveled and then add sets for PvP... If PvP gear became viable PvE gear with Acc melds after reaching a required PvP rank that'd at least help... Not like the materia effects are even active in PvP these days anyway...
