Thing is I did put time into it. I have the gear so you point is moot. The rank requirement is pointless.
Maybe pvp should be more interesting if removing the rank requirement has such an apparent high risk of most people stop doing pvp, which its already at waiting an hour between each fight.
Discussions with you are pointless not the rank requirement...You already get lvl 120 gear for almost nothing, be happy with your casual gear and stop QQ. I will no longer discuss with someone like you.bye

I am not good at pvp. Most fights a monk paladin and now ninja keep hitting me. I do swift cast sleep. They use purify. Then I use nightwing. Bam resisted. I try lethargy. Resisted. I use equaiminity, bam stunned then silenced. Maybe get off a cast or two before sstunned. Or then bound by whm.I think you are playing it wrong or exaggerating. There are 3 BLMs in my FC and none of us ever have trouble with casting or killing people. Played well, BLM is very good in PvP, and can often get a crazy amount of kills and damage while not dying. In fact BLM is has very high survivability if you use your cc, AM, and your sheild abilities. You should aim for 60k+ dmg 6+ kills if you are in A or C team. Remember to take advantage of ALL your abilities in PvP.
This happens to me every single fight. I am always the first one dead. It's not an exaggeration.

There isn't anything hard about pvp. It's just whoever gets stunned first loses. Just like every other dumb pvp in an mmo. I worked hard too, I have the gear I just can't wear it yet. I don't like sitting there dead for half the match because 3 to 4 of the other opponent party stun locks me to death. Cause you being dead is so fun.
I think your keyboard is broken, it only produces utter garbage. There isn't anything hard about pvp. It's just whoever gets stunned first loses. Just like every other dumb pvp in an mmo. A keyboard can be fixed or replaced, unlike that attitude of yours.
Pvp gear should be exactly like every other item in the game, once you have it, use it. There is no reason to have the restriction it does.
All you people complaining that if they removed the restriction that everyone would leave pvp, well it's a win-win. if you are right the majority does leave. Guess what that will force SE to have to improve the system to make it more fun and people will come back. Everyone wins. It happened with leves and dungeons. They'll do it with pvp if they want the game to survive.
I was not commenting on your proposal, but on the garbage thoughts you have of how pvp works and your ignorance to people that might enjoy it.
If you really think that is how pvp works, those words were the nicest I could manage to throw at you.
I do pvp for the same reason as you do, btw, and I would love to have a faster way to get the nice looking sets, but it has already been said:
The pvp gear is meant as an acomplishment for people who are willing to put some time in this game. For people who enjoy it and not for casuals who think they must have everything.
1) No job should be able to survive getting assaulted by 3 or 4 other jobs on their own without support so working as intended there.
2) You have 3 or 4 people stun locking you? Really? So in a standard party of 2 heals + 6 dps/tanks HALF or more more than half of those dps/tanks go straight for you and leave only 2 or 3 dps/tanks to take care of your teams 2 healers? I could maybe believe this was actually taking place on a consistent basis if you were playing against premades consistently but I'm in your same data center and same gc and know this is not the case.

From someone who also didn't like the rank requirement level for pvp, but I just stuck with it and grinded my ass off match after match. Frontlines is very generous in the amount of points and experience it gives (in addition to weekly Challenge Log bonus) and just keep at it and you'll get there. It matters on the time you que for matches, like when the junky players play compared to when the better players play. Granted that you're a little late to the rush, where good players were abundant. Now that they are probably rank 40+, a lot of pvpers may have stopped queing since they can only play for the fun of it, rather than a goal in mind (aka glamour rewards).
If your que times are horrendous, remember to hit the "In progress" option since pvp doesn't care what class you are. If you already have that, then maybe change GC to the more popular one on your server. If you keep getting facerolled, try a different class. Step up to the plate and be the healer that no one else wants to be. Reverse the tides and be the one stunning people's faces as a melee class. Don't have those classes up yet? Take a break from pvp and level your other classes to play in pvp when you max level them.
Regards!
