BRD needs Vanity :O

So I was using my regular 45 AF head on top of Amon's head.. and up until today I had the allagan BRD body from coil 1..

But I just upgraded to the Aural Tabard and even dyed my favourite colour its still god awful to look at.

I need some ideas for a BRD vanity please. I liked the allagan body, with the sleeveless armour type look, any other obscure armours out there that look good?

feel free to screenshot your BRD and name the items.. though the pimp hat is here to stay :P

Another vote for the Shikaree set.

Its one of the nicest looking sets imho, though I also though it went well with Cova's bluish skin tone, whereas a lot of other armors look horrid.

Had a pic somewhere..... stuck at work though so not sure I can find it.

When I read the thread title, I was like "Bards need more stuff to glamour? Are you kidding me!?"

But reading the thread... hmm... it really depends on what kind of look you're going for. Bard gear, by design, is very colorful and flamboyant. Heck, as a Monk/Warrior focus, I often find myself seething with jealousy at the kinds of stuff Bards get to work with.

Here are some recommendations for chestpieces, from the flamboyant to the more subtle. It'd be easier to start there, then work on the other pieces which complement the chest.

Augmented Choral gear looks good on almost all pieces - Specifically the chest and hat. I dyed mine dalamud red, and I'm rather satisfied with it.
Still waiting for the High Allagan Coat of Aiming to finish my look.

i'm using divine light set (from expert dungeons) and ballad crown, sipahi boots.. looks good; a bit more brd like, than Allagan, but yah, Allagan set looks nice too.

You don't just have to look to high level gear for glamour, take my i107 BRD...

Elfin bow
Augmented Choral Chapeau
Infantry Shirt (Drops from normal mode Brayflox etc)
Fingerless Goatskin Gloves
Hempen Pantalettes
Iron plated Jackboots.

I did another version of this for a friend without the shirt using a linen Shirt dyed Othard blue.
Use try on a lot and be aware that different tiers of the same item have slight visual differences. Most of all have a but of fun

+1, such nice textures and effects, Shikaree set is probably the best looking one from the last patches but good luck getting all pieces right now though.
