I've seen his accesoires aaand he used Vitality materia and therefore their defensive stats are almost equal to Itemlvl 90 gearAre you sure? This can't be a serious topic.
I'll just leave this here:

You tell me if he is being "carried" by his group. I'm pretty sure he's not only doing his job, but he's bringing even more to the table here. Last time I checked T9 was much higher than Garuda Ex.
Skill over gear.
Nothing wrong with getting rid of horrible players. If they are willing to take advice, and take suggestions, we get rid of a horrible player, because they no longer are one.
With myth raining from the heavens, ST's ease of access, and i90 gear being so cheap with allied seals (You get 50 seals from just the weekly mark alone) I can't really see "just missing the ilvl requirement" being a genuine issue. There's three reasons I can think of why a competent/good player will equip accessories not for their job.
2) Using another accessory to get into a PF they just miss the ilv req for. Not saying this is right or wrong, but if you are good enough and just miss the req I probably would never know you cheated it. But, if you aren't good enough and are found out...
3) Trolling.
Now, sometimes people will do weird runs and the like, but as long as its with a pre-formed group or static its fine. Going with randoms is closer to trolling
Trolling is something you do for laughs with your FC, static, LS'...etc. (People whom you have familiarity with)
Trolling random people in DF however, is inconsiderate and selfish.
I have two gear sets for my smn and sch, one with their highest ilvl equips for role, and a "summoning" gear set with all vit accessories. Equip the summoning gear set at start of duty/trial, summon egi/fairy, then back to my role appropriate gear.
This is only other circumstance beside overgeared tanks I can see for anyone legitimately using gear not intended for their role.
This will work for scholar but for summoner, as soon as you'll use Spur, the Egi will snapshot your current stats therefore nullifying the gain.
If you catch anyone other than a warrior/pld not in main stat gear it should be the first red flag that said person is an idiot. There is absolutely no reason for anyone other than the 2 listed above to have some other main stat piece on.... period.
Spiritbonding you say? I can tolerate some non main stat spiritbond gear, but the fact remains there are SB gear for every main stat... craft the crap for the job you are using.

Seeing a full myth hero with an extra myth ring (Casting+Healing on casters/healers, Slaying+Aiming/Fending on DRGs, etc) is literally an everyday occurrence. It's pretty disappointing when I have to tell someone who has cleared Turn 6 for the first time that, yes, their i70 DEX ring on BRD is going to be a lot more useful than the i100 STR ring they wore to clear it.
A lot of folks simple can't seem to believe that stats are as simple as they are in this game. Perhaps they, like myself, came here from Final Fantasty XI, where it seemed like every stat had half a dozen hidden effects that were rarely spelled-out in game (such as VIT giving a minor boost to curing spells). They just can't seem to believe that wearing a ring with 30 DEX on a MNK is exactly equivalent to wearing a ring with 0 DEX. It has stats, stats must be doing something! They're stats, stats don't just do nothing!!1!
Yes, they do. They do nothing.
Prepare to cringe at the impending influx of Rogues and Ninjas decked head to toe in DEX gear, because c'mon, Rogues and Ninjas are DEXTROUS! Dex has GOTTA do something great for them, right? Prepare also for the incoming flood of people who will SWEAR their critical hit rate went up by five percent ever since they started wearing DEX gear instead of STR. Nevermind that their crits are now doing half the damage their regular hits were before...
I agree, not only this but to stop people from being stupid lazy.
Example:
I had a person on one of my final bard books the other day doing straight shot only. They also had wrong accessories on and had an atma weapon, after kindly asking them to do other skills besides straight shot (like dot or actually use buffs). They asked me to please shut up. (funny that was the last 2 seconds they ever spoke because they got booted lol)
If people want to spiritbind JUNK gear, do it with a friend group or solo outside. The burden may not seem like much if you are in a group with some friends with strong backs, but this burden becomes worse when the pt is full DF.
If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.
Had a monk in HM using crafting accessories, asked her to remove them and she didn't, it was a very long and painful run (no positioning, was in mage gear too, just ugh (she wasn't new, she had like 6 lvl 50s)).
I noticed that PLD and WAR are recommended to use STR accessories now and so far Ive seen a mixed bag of results from this, had a tank in Hullbreaker that couldn't keep agro on anything but one monster (first boss beat me to death) and tanks that were absolutely fine on huge pulls. Gear is useful but skill is more useful in some cases.
Everyday is great at your Junes~
