I think you were the only one confused by the wording. The meaning was pretty obvious.

"Shadowflare+Bane+Miasma II kills them all outright" yes pretty obvious.
i saw a SMN spend an entire dungeon run, casting only energy drain, and Miasma 2, and ruin...so i wouldn't know if you thought bane would work on shadowflare -.-
