Possible expansion SCH concern

Outside of PvP it actually does need something to help itself without relying on Cleric Stance for example. SE designed it in such a way they expected you to switch to SMN if you're soloing.

We, Scholars, need help solo? Eos/Selene healing us forever is pretty good, I think.

I would like a fairy that can attack, but i dont think we will get it since its not the nature of a fairy ( imagine a little fairy beating the *** out of you) but as soloing SCH does not need anything, we can solo pretty much anything ( just take a while) i think SCH needs some exclusive skills that makes WHM fill their crossclass slots too, SCH needs Swiftcast( as WHMs) but need protect, cleric stance, stoneskin... we need some must-have skills too and with the job's traits make some difference

WHM gets holy, stone I and II and aero I and II.

SCH gets ruin I and II, Bio I and II, Miasma I and II, Shadow Flare, Bane and Energy drain.

If you find it harder to solo with SCH than WHM, you are doing it wrong. You don't even have to heal yourself due to Embrace.

ruin has a potency of 80, same with Ruin II, except it wastes a lot of MP for nothing. you can use 3 bane OR energy drains/min.
Stone II has more than 2x the potency of ruin, and Aero II ticks for half of ruin damage/2sec.
holy has potency of 200.
it takes a bit to stack up dots with sch, and it's not very strong, and mob probably dies before dots expire, so you're wasting lots of time with casting them.
it's not harder, it just takes several times longer; you could 2shot a pack of mobs with whm, while SCH is busy casting *insert dot* that takes 20sec to do its damage.

i dont think a fairy would fly around with a club, and beat stuff with it...maybe sprinkle fairy dust, that makes stuff melt?

Except when you need a spike damage to kill the timed bombs that spawn together with the golem in Alexandrite maps, SCH have an easier time to solo stuff thant DPS. Slower but easier.

which is why it would be nice with an attacking fairy, for SCH
if you're working on SCH atma relic, you kinda HAVE TO use SCH, so can't switch to some other DPS, to do it faster.

I agree with this as well, I became a healer to heal...not to dps! :< I do agree that a male defense boosting fairy would be amazing! *^*

i'm not suggesting to make SCH into a DD -.- but you DO need to deal damage, sometimes. or how did you get through the SCH job quests, or any other solo content?
