Screen shots were from data mine in Beta to show off some of the boss models we hadn't seen.
So... huh?

Eos already has a mag def buff and Fey Illumination/Rouse that increase healing.
Selene has skill/spell-speed buffs.
so another defensive of buffer fairy, isn't really needed.
I'd like to see an attack fairy. You'd loose a fair bit of healing potential, so i think that's a fair trade.
I think I would rather have more healing spells than another fairy (though a new fairy would still be appreciated, especially if it's a male fairy).

Whatever they do, I hope it is focused on healing and not on dps. I prefer to heal and if I wanted to dps, I would have rolled a dps class and not a healer.

I wouldn't call SE lazy. They did rebuild an entire MMO from the ground up in less than a year, after all.If it SE wasn't lazy and gave us separate Limit Breaks, we could have both faeries do something amazing lol.
Also, yes, Helios would be a great idea. I guess defence would work...or a debuff thing or something...sadly debuffs kinda suck in this game especially for bosses.
Or maybe increases Spell Damage and Physical Damage then give a shield or something lol.
I have to agree there...you put in a damage buff oriented fairy and there'd be a troupe of SCHs refusing to use any other fairy because of "teh leet deeps".

A new SCH pet would be wonderful; what exactly they would have it do, I'm not sure, but I can hope that it would be a little more fun than Selene and a little more useful for end-game than Eos.
A personal DPS fairy could be fun, but I wouldn't want it unless it came along with a support counterpart. As much as I support the idea that good healers DPS when they should, it's understandable that players who chose a healing role want more support skills rather than an increased focus on DPS. Besides, a personal DPS fairy would probably be useless in 99% of group content unless she also buffed the party in some way.
Yoshida confirmed awhile ago all classes are being reworked (armory system in general) in some fashion. There hasn't been much said since.
That doesn't erase more than 20 years of history where many times and many games when you look past the outside does show that Square has been lazy in many ways. It doesn't take long to rebuild a game project with the majority of your assets already created.

WHM get Holy, so i don't see a problem with SCH getting a fairy that can attack...
Selene is already a damage buff oriented fairy, and the SCH still aren't going: omg i'm DD!
Don't confuse your own playstyle, with options for ppl that might want to do a little more damage, when they solo, or in some party situations.
If you're SCH main...doing Alex maps, FATEs or whatever, solo....can be quite a bother; getting a little bit of extra damage would be nice.
