I have just stopped worrying about them. As far as I can tell they have no real affect on me. The only time they do is when I become obsessed with getting one banned.

As far as soul binding goes. Well I went and hunted down some spots that no one seems to use(no I will not disclose the locations of my spots ). They are a bit more dangerous but, they are just as efficient as urth's gift.

Basically you are making it more hard on your self by being obsessed with them. Not to mention the what would happen to the market by removing such bots. Crystals and raw goods would fly through the roof and making it harder for people trying to start crafting / buy things.

Now I am not saying I support them; I am just stating I am not concerned w/ them any more.

I think you're right on this...I haven't bothered looking up the usual suspects until I saw this thread today.
This game won't last forever, caring about this matter more than the people who should be dealing with it is recipe for disappointment.
It's just an eye opener really. The people running the bots are profiting both in-game and out, for people spending their time reporting to deaf ears - it's just a waste of sub money.

Making Market Board transactions is not against the ToS even if they do follow somewhat suspicious trends. What the task force will do even though they don't have the evidence to ban the character is flag the account and monitor transactions and trades which can lead to the gil carrying RMT chars AND gil buyers by extension. The post above you describes how a /tell may be replied to and again there's likely someone monitioring the 10+ screens the bots are running on even if they do have a /tell reply script running. What does interrupting them with a trade window accomplish btw? Is the fact they don't cancel the trade window grounds to call them a bot?

They know that, is why i stopped reporting, because they either ignore it entirely or some hidden factor is keeping them from caring. As the Op said it seems using bots is perfectly fine, as you can clearly see the evidence that nothing will happen to you. most people who see bots know what a bot is. this isn't a case of "mistaken identity" they know full well people can and will bot.

A glitch in the game that gives legit players unfair advantage, they will patch that within a day, but a bot destroying the economy? go right ahead.

Unfortunately there is only so much we can do as customers before it becomes more then it's worth. It is like raising a child. You can teach / bring them up to the best of your knowledge but, in the end it's in there hands when they become adults.
Bots have been around since I have been playing MMORPG. I started in the UO days (Yea I am old). They become more and more advanced every generation. Some are so good you can't tell the difference. You should do the same if you can set aside this issue.

I'm reporting since 2 weeks ago fate botter for Nexus at Middle La Noscea... but even never received an automatic response from GM.... If this is their taskforce for botter... i'm really upset.

I'm not even sure how your comparison is relevant. And yeah some bots can be pretty advanced. And some aren't. The Lalas that I referenced earlier aren't even in some dark corner of the world. They're in the middle of the city square-a high traffic area. It's almost insulting. They are very CLEARLY bots. It doesn't take some college degree to see that, only simple observation. Go even further with a bit of research and it becomes easily confirmed. This group is also likely not only on Ultros as a search on the Lodestone will show that Lalas with the same names/similar attributes are on many different servers.

And what was that about enjoyment? These bots SB items which then get sold on the MB. Aside from the obvious problems that causes with the economy (which in turn makes it harder for legit players to earn money), we could very well be buying from these bots' retainers. You would have no idea, except if you see 32 listings from the same retainer. I could very well be supplying gil to the RMTs by buying things off the MB. Then the RMT bots spam me with tells & friend requests all day long. But I guess none of that interferes with my enjoyment of the game?

Okay I do have a question, what can I do when the ones not doing their work properly are the people under your charge? There's no direct way to contact you so there's no way to escalate this to a superior.

I had an issue with an item not working, yet being consumed, an item that I spent 500k gil on. I contacted support desk, I get the response that they can't restore it due to "item contained unique information" and the GM also seemly tried to use my one time restoration, when this was caused by a bug and this should be restored outside the one time restoration policy, I send another ticket asking what "item contained unique information" means and asking what can they do to restore my item and I got a completely unrelated response, ignoring everything I said giving me a template-type response, as an attempt to shut me up. So now what, what's the point of contacting in game GMs if they won't even answer the questions being asked and will reply with completely unrelated template-alike responses?

Ticket number is 4270721 if you want to see it in game, the last response doesn't answer for anything I wrote and I'm still at a loss here with 500k down.
