...finds ninjas boring? All that sneaky-stealthy stuff, beaten to death japanese cliches, and not to forget the naruto associations they bring along. Of all the classes they could implement this one is probably the one I'm least interested in. And I serously don't get the hype.

Well, since melee DPS and most DPS classes in general don't interest me... ninja too doesn't interest me. But, I won't fault people for getting excited just because it isn't my cup of tea. To everyone looking forward to ninja, have fun!

As for OP, I feel like pirates are about as worn out as ninjas.

I'm hoping ninja will be fun, but I feel like a 2.5s GCD won't do it much justice.

Ninjas have to be introduced to pave the way for the pirate gun class.
Plus Hullbreaker was just introduced in the last patch revealing the history of Mistbeard. He isn't quite ready to train a successor yet nor does Merlwyb want to out him.

That'd be a bet easily lost. Obviously people are going to flock to the new job, but there's no reason to the majority of people who actually "love" ninja will not like it for some arbitrary subjective reason.

BLM is "easily" the most boring DPS in the game but that doesn't stop people who love BLM from playing it, does it?
