Joining Coil FC run or complete pug run in party finder.

I am interested in hearing others experiences in when they use party party finder to join SCOB and prefer a complete pug group or filling in for a missing static member in T6 and I would like to share my experience of what happened this week when I filled in for a missing member in party finder. 2 times people didn't feed honey to the boss. I said that is what happens when you don't feed the boss. They got offended and kicked me. I didn't care but next day I tried to pug it and noticed that two of the people from the static the day before were in this pug party. 1 of them was being a jerk to me and the other one kept following me around with vines. it reminded me of my old FC where they were getting offended because somebody filling in for a static member was giving suggestions of how to do things differently. Is it usual that statics feel offended by someone outside the static giving any critisism? It's almost like there is a your not one of us so shut up or be kicked attitude.

I have filled in for my FC static before but we got along great... maybe you just had bad luck or you weren't giving advice in a friendly manner? I speak up whenever I feel like it but I've never been kicked.

Well, it depends. If they clearly play wrong (like not feeding Honey) steadily (it can happen but if it happens always...), I call it out in a friendly manner, because it can be the case they don't know it better. Now if they kick me it's fine or they don't wanna learn, I leave by myself, because I don't have time to waste for stubbornness. Thats for the error case.
Otherwise, I adapt to group strategy even if it is subpar in my opinion, I'm the guest. Yes, I'll make the offering to give tips if they want any. Now it depends, is their strategy just subpar but it is doable with it, I adapt; is the strategy complete garbage and they don't want to change or don't wanna hear why it is garbage, I leave.
When I pug then only as a filler in a static but I never run in a complete pug, because it is waste of time mostly. Moreoften, it is the case that we have a filler in our group who adapts to our strategy and after the run he says that he will bring our strat to his static group because he found it out to be easier or whatever, which we nicely take as a compliment On the contrary, we're open-minded if external players have suggestions for us, because we always want to improve our game.

Going off story you provided - If someone is not getting eaten wether it be from error or pushing phase resulting in a loss followed by a "that's what happens when you don't..." Sounds like a poor choice of words which ended up being taken out of context. (From the info provided, who knows!.

I think you are reaching if you think the person was intentionally following you with vines, chances are they don't know the fight well.

I'm no longer in a static so when I'm done running fc mates and showing them the ropes ill typically get my clears with LS ppl. I try to avoid full pug groups via PF as most of the time they turn out to be ninja learning groups

That's the who thing that is in question though, I joined not my own FC run but another FC in party finder who was missing a member. I saw the dreaded 100 myth bonus message and it said weekly clear on party finder. After the whole calamity with them I managed to clear it with a total pick up group where nobody knew eachother and there were no 100 myth messages. I don't think there is any advantage of filling in for another FC's missing member anymore. I seem to have better luck clearing it with total PUG parties atleast in the last 3 weeks. Sure I would fill on for any missing members from my own FC, but when I help another FC out from party finder it sometimes feels like I am silenced and occasionaly the of unfair blame when a wipe was caused by their own FC member. It is obviously easier for some FC's to make the non FC member into a scapegoat.

Idk, I actually enjoy FC runs (even if they are not my own) because people tend to stick together longer. There are less chances of a vote abandon popping up, especially if it's a training party.

I found my static by being the fill-in. They didnt have a missing member, but only had 7/8. I became their 8th and now we farm t6-t8 and working on t9.
Sounds like you just had a bad group.
