    Suggestion: Sacrifice should be a bit more of a sacrifice

    This will probably be an unpopular suggestion, but before anyone can slap me with the troll badge, I am completely sincere in this request.

    It seems like the healing spell "Sacrifice" is a bit of a misnomer. Sure, it takes HP to cast, and yes, if I'm low on HP myself I won't be able to save my skin or anyone else's. But in a typical battle with a team of players, I rarely get so low in my HP as that. I'd like to see Sacrifice spells either not heal the caster at all, or impose a damage over time on them that slowly drains away some of their HP for as long as the healing over time on others is active. I think it would make for a more interesting dynamic, and make the spell's name and description more meaningful.

    I like sacrifice as it is now. It needs to heal the user...after all he will lose like 15% of HP per spell. it wouldn't make sense as healing spell if it didn't heal the user. The HP penalty is more like a usage restriction for both situational healing from THM and as penalty for non-THM...

    You can look at it in a different way....assume THMs are used to sacrifying themselves so they don't feel much such painful rite...but other classes do feel the pain generated by such rite so they do keep the damage from it.

    Even with THM being my highest Job, I completely agree with the OP. Sacrifice is no sacrifice at all. Either change the name or how it works.

    I would like sacrifice to be like the idea behind shadowsear, in an oh sh*t moment, with like 300 hp, it will increase the potency of the cure. Especially now the hate algorithm is being changed to do the more potent the cure/sacrifice the more hate, it would be a risk and a genuine sacrifice.

    You know what, I would like an SE representative to give me a shiatsu massage, serve me a cold beer, and provide me with a brothel while I play FFXIV as well. It is a sacrifice, it however does not mean sacrificing one's life for your party. You guys do realize there are more jobs coming and rather than sit and try to make this handful into everything you want, be patient and see what the new classes hold. Sacrifice is not broken, it was meant to be a healing spell for THM, but why should it have to be exactly like cure? Can't the two be similar, but remain different. Seriously, let's fix the broken parts of the game before addressing what you feel are balance issues or skill name problems Wow, seriously? That's like saying I don't think Cure II should be called Cure II when it doesn't cure you for twice the amount of Cure I. It should be appropriately called Cure 1.3433465. God, what a bunch of whiners---I don't care if it's called Enigmatic Nebulous Deranged Overly Flagrant Whimsical Heinous Igloo Nadir Indiana Narcoleptic Gunsmith (We'll give it an acronym though and call it E.N.D.O.F.W.H.I.N.I.N.G)...as long as I don't have to type it and AS LONG AS IT WORKS.

    Hell if you need that, why not cry for a new skill and call it Life's Blood? Or Martyrdom?....that more accurately describes what you are wanting.
