Glamour Book - Save Style Sets

Simply put, when you complete a set for a certain job, have a book that logs this and allows you to go back to that complete set any time you like.

So, for example, if you have the Templar Set (Which there is a feat for), you can save it in your Glamour book, and go back to that set any time you like without having to stockpile the gear to do so.

This is really just a simplistic version of the DCUO Styles settings, which I'd pay heavily to introduce to this game :P.

This is a cool idea, but I'd honestly prefer the many-times suggested feature to record all previously owned armor/weapon pieces for glamour. Yes, I could save a whole set and then create another, but what if then I got a body piece that I feel would look good with just the headpiece from a saved glamour set? I'd be unable to select just the headpiece.

A book that registered all previously obtained drops (for glamour only, not stats) would be great, to be able to select any previously owned piece and create whole new styles as new pieces are released! It'd fix all the inventory issues people have these days.

Guess what? Your idea would allow me to get a "new retainer". Yes I do have one retainer full (all 175) of gear I keep for glamour. So yeah, I'm totally for it.

Another DCUO player! Coming from that games style system to this one has been literally painful.

Well it's definitely a trade of Customization vs. Content. But yeah.. Never did you feel more unique than with that game where you collected styles and could mix and match them and adjust three base colors off each piece.

I usually did a pseudo swamp thing using the Plant set, but used Scarecrow Mask with the appropriate pallette. Worked out pretty good.

Not quite the same idea.... throwing it here anyway, but if this was implemented first Then it would make the idea you suggest easier to implement.

I really wish we could utilize DCUO's style system. So very much. Glamour Prisms were a nice novelty idea, but it was only a cheap method of giving more relevance to non-CUL crafters, but as both crafters and gatherers have some actual endgame content, I say the current glamour system be abolished as of 3.0.

An even better idea if you really want glamour prisms to be a thing, have glamour prisms be used to "store" the appearance data of gear within itself to be recalled at any time from the "Prismarium" or something, which would be a detailed list of every filled glamour prism a character has. Then, a character need only affix a single piece of "Prismateria" to a piece of gear (in its own slot, not a materia slot) to be able to change the glamoured appearance of that gear at whim.

Just a few thoughts. But the whole glamour thing, while it is infinitely awesome to have glamours in the first place, was not really implemented in the best possible way. If I had to argue, there are only a handful of MMOs that have a worse glamour system, and those involve a cash shop to buy one-time use costume glamours to be affixed to a piece of gear.

I want hairstyle and color to be glamourizable (locked with head piece perhaps?)

Going to drop in and give another thumbs up toward the DCUO system. Really liked how the moment I got an item it was permanently added as a style choice for said slot, complete with being able to choose the colors for it and everything.

Given the current system in place, how would you work it into it? Another screen when you go to use a glamour that would bring up all your options? Or is this assuming the current system is replaced?
