I am a proponent for voice shat as well. I've met some friendly people on voice chat that I continue to run trials/raids with. It can also be easier to tell when some one is giving you genuine advice. Sometimes its hard to convey that in text w/o the person sounding like a sarcastic a-hole.
I also find that people with the pessimistic attitude for voice chat in general are the ones who tend to cause the most problems in voice chat. They bring that predisposition into the chat and it ruins the whole experience for everyone.
