First of all, I'm not asking you to agree with me. I'm just stating that it's just bad attitude. People must love playing with you.

Absolutely despise voice chat and refuse to join any group that requires or even uses it. At best it's an annoyance, at worst, it completely ruins any and all fun.
I've only cleared Rex in DF parties and all those times as me being a tank in a normal setup, me and the other tank did not need to have macros or some VOIP program to pass it, if people are setting up a farm party, they should know what the common method for collecting the orbs are ( every 2nd set ), having the tanks pick up all orbs is pointless, since most of the time there will be at least 2 ranged classes that will have no problem picking up those orbs, if you honestly dont know what you are doing in a fight how about you read up on how people do it before you bog them down and then whine that its the tanks fault or the healers fault for causing the wipe
I agree with you OP.
Honestly though, I wouldn't defend the other 7 in this situation. Hoping strangers will pay attention and/or type something out (or set up a macro) is damn well impossible with our limited brain capacity apparently. Makes me wonder how I ever cleared endgame on FFXI and WoW prior to TS. Maybe we all had telepathy or some other psychic power to read each others minds, but lost it over the last decade. I think it's just a lot more plausible to say that every one of us (you, me, the OP, etc) are just impatient idiots playing a game with other impatient idiots and be done with it LOL. Makes things a lot easier to deal with, when you can't control the situation, by dumbing yourself down to the level of those who committed the wrong. It even adds an element of comedy sometimes.Like it or not, I still stand by what I called you. Means were provided to make things easier and yet you refuse to use it simply because you were not told to do so. Don't get me wrong, I understand that you couldn't get on TS because people were sleeping, and that they were wrong to kick you out because of that. The problem is, you lacked the initiative to provide a way to make things easier, not just for yourself, but for the 7 other people who are dedicating their time to clear whatever it is that you're trying to clear.
Well no one asked me to make "plumes" macros for titan HM or titan EX but I use them as necessary if I see the party needs just that little boost to clear. It is not mandatory but I know it is something I can do to make the win easier.
In that light I returned the question to the OP, is it that hard to just macro "I NEED ORBS" every 2 cycles just to ensure everyone is on the same page?
I am a proponent for voice chat as well. I've met some friendly people on voice chat that I continue to run trials/raids with. It can also be easier to tell when some one is giving you genuine advice. Sometimes its hard to convey that in text w/o the person sounding like a sarcastic a-hole.

I also find that people with the pessimistic attitude for voice chat in general are the ones who tend to cause the most problems in voice chat. They bring that predisposition into the chat and it ruins the whole experience for everyone.I am a proponent for voice shat as well.
