SE Please Reconsider Fenrir's Role in FFXIV

This is Final Frickin Fantasy 14. A different final fantasy like every other single one was different. The espers/avatars/summons end up at least somewhat different EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!!!!

Fenrir is a dungeon boss now, Alexander might be ishgard- or he might be a damned keychain that does nothing. Its a new final fantasy. We will have to see and experience what becomes of the summons like every other time.

People keep skipping FFXII, in my opinion one of the best in the series.

In FFXII Fenrir was a dungeon boss, to be exact Ridorana Pharos.

There are pretty few instances of him being a summon actually. A lot of times he's a basic enemy, dungeon boss, an emblem or even a normal character.

Who cares about Fenrir when Odin is just a Fate with useless rewards. Odin has had a much greater role in nearly all Final Fantasy games than Fenrir. Odin (Extreme) please!

when i see people complaining about fenrir about how he isn't being treated fairly please remember he is mirroring one of his major roles in a game protecting a ice summon, in the story mode screens he appears to be protecting shiva athercite, meaning he could be simply protecting shiva, MIRRORING his major role,


seeing how people are comparing him to bahamut to fenrir and to diabolos i shall point out what SE has done

BAHAMUT, one of the most RECOGNISABLE SUMMONS IN FINAL FANTASY having some form of importance in nearly every final fantasy (except ff2 but the dragon in ff2 was a descendant) in spin off games he is usually his own character ALONG SIDE the chocobo, as well as having a spin off game series for himself

Diabolos a fammilar summon to those who played final fantasy 8 where his popularity and origin was gained from, within the fan throeys it said he was a devil or deamon from the void trapped in ff8, because of his fan size FROM ff8 they included him in ff11, however in ff14 they MIRRORED his ff8 form intro and ultimate attack, taking a lot of insperation from his major appearance,

Fenrir was a common enemy starting off as a enemy called devel wolf in ff2 only becoming fenrir in the 15th anniversary addition, but still didn't have his own unique sprite he was a pallet swap, the enemy fenrir has been recording to be either a common wolf type monster, or a powerful but still common wolf type monster, he has only been a minor boss
a few times, his most UNIQUE appearance and design was in ff11 however, due to the grate differences in lore about the elements and the aether, the fact he is element neutral means he cannot excist in ff14 ARR as a primal, due to the fact he would not be sustained, to those saying elder primal bahamut fed of pure aether and turned it into mega flare, he was large enough to be trapped inside a MOON a large celestial object, as well as become that moon's source of aether FEEDING A WHOLE CIVALISATION, Odin feeds on souls and the odin we have been fighting is nearly a shadow of the true odin who is SEALED away INSIDE A UNIQUE CRYSTAL.

to say that he would have major importance because of one game is like saying hectaconir from ff13 should have major importance because she was vanniles summon that one time and had ONE cutscene for it, all in all

if you wish to fight a strong fenrir wait for it, we know siren is coming back soon with pharos sirus hard mode we know diabolos is coming back with amdapor township hard mode, so it is safe to assume a much harder fenrir will be coming soon with snow cloak hard mode.



EDIT NOTE: if you guys truly want to be pedantic fenrir should be a snow leopard since he has been represented as one :P

Does Fenrir ever had a big role in FF series? it was a useless Esper in FFVI and that's all I remember.
