Word for word from the Fan Fest site.Physical prizes and gifts are great, but one of the biggest giveaways for attendees is the Fan Festival 2014 in-game item! Each attendee will come away with a special in-game item designed for the hardcore collector. However, players who purchase tickets but don’t attend the event are ineligible to receive this special gift, so be sure to join the festivities and collect your prize!
We’re excited to show the full details on this coveted piece of loot: Moogle Attire!
And now this:
And before you post something ridiculous like:Las Vegas Fan Festival premium live stream features:
Price to be announced
HD resolution
Includes the opening keynote by Producer/Director Naoki Yoshida
Includes the closing ceremonies event
A code for the Moogle Attire bonus item
URL to be announced
orIf you wanted to spend all that money exclusively on the moogle outfit, frankly that's just wasteful. The money you spend on the fanfest is to go to the event and enjoy all the things they have planned for you.
orIf you paid $120 for a Digital Moogle Suit alone, I feel bad for you.
Save my time and yours and move on to the next thread. So essentially this thread is crying about not being able to be a special snowflake in an MMO.
"Physical prizes and gifts are great, but one of the biggest giveaways for attendees is the Fan Festival 2014 in-game item!"
I hope your right...cause the Moogle suit sure doesn't mean anything anymore. Special? HA coveted? LOL
What you get when you make posts like that: Reported for harassment. Grow up buddy.
What do you mean: "you people"? I'm kidding.Honestly speaking this a good thing. Not everyone could go to a Fan-Fest even if they could afford to go or were nearby purely because tickets sell out. So naturally, the majority of fans were upset that they couldnt atleast get the item from FanFest. This being said, Why is that you people fume when you dont get something and fume again when you do!???? Get over it and grow up
Thank you SE for the chance at this item. Even if they did change stuff (which is always subject to change at developer discretion anyways) I feel sorry that SE has to put up with these kinds of "fans".
Seriously people I don't care about the friggin item. It has nothing to do with this except that fact that it happens to be the latest 'item x' that se is messing up on. They need to start CLEARLY and PRECISELY stating exactly what they mean and then sticking to it.
Fan Fest 2006: Chocobo Wand. not available again until 1 year later through the adveturer appreciation campaign
Fan Fest 2007: Nomad Cap. (I went to this one) not available ever again (special and coveted)
Fan Fest 2008: Nomad Moogle Shield. not available ever again (special and coveted)
Fan Fest 2014: Moogle Attire. Originally only given to attendees. Now able to be purchased by buying the livestream. (not special or coveted) it's not 'one of the biggest giveaways for attendees is the Fan Festival 2014 in-game item' if anyone anywhere in the world can pay a fee and get one.
It's like with player housing...yoshi specifically stated that player housing was going to be significantly less then and seperate from FC housing. all they did was make fc house purchasable by individual players at same price as fc. did i complain? heck yeah. then dropped 19 mil on a medium house day 1.
If they had said in the first place that player housing would be expensive, or better yet: kept their mouth shut and not spit out numbers like 800k, I would have never had a problem. If they said the moogle attire was just gonna be some free ingame item that anyone and their uncle can get, i would have been happy to get one but not cared if they sold it to everyone. So if you stop and thin for even a second you'll realize I have an issue with how SE operates. I could care less about the item, or the house price, or whatever fiasco they come up with next. They need to operate in a more professional manner.
Firs off let me say that I appreciate your discussing this in a civil manner and making your point clear without resorting to the typical internet facerolling replies. I agree that offering an incentive to the live stream is beneficial to SE and to the players that decide to pay for the non free version. HOWEVER. They could have easily offered something else. Like for example: a free fantasia, or another item of somekind, or anything but the moogle attire. Or heck they could have just let the stream be free and never mentioned a paid version.
