I understand that your angry and disappointed at Square Enix, but you need to understand that what Square Enix is doing is good for the whole fanbase. I dont live in England nor in USA, even tho I do have the money for the live event, I can not go there, because of extra cost: plane ticket + accommodation. I am a student so I can not fly to another country and miss my classes, not with exams comming soon at the end of October. I reckon alot of players are in my shoes and are very happy to enjoy the live stream + a reward, because lets be honest the Moogle outfit is a incentive to buy the live stream.
Personaly I will wait first and see how much the live stream willl cost, if its less then 30 euro, then I will fork over.

The problem isnt that SE is giving away the Moogle Suit.
The problem is however the timing they did it, people have thought for months the only way to get it was this and did put lots of money into getting it (as just a part of the bonuses), now after all money is spent and nonrefundable they announce this.
It would be zero problem if all this was announced at same time, its a dirty marking tactic on all ends.
SE: QUICK sell all tickets (that arent refundable)
*months later*
SE: *stretch* we now announce this 10-20$ streaming option a week before the Fan Fest.
Chances are SE will reveal some exclusive event item or in-game item for attendees that the rest of us wont get anyways. So this really shouldn't be a big deal. Entitlements.. ugh. Keep in mind that events, items and content are always subject to change at developer's discretion anyways.

You deserve to lose that money if you planned to go to the fan fest just for the moogle suit.

Don't assume things you should know what happens.
Heaven forbid companies change a policy or two so more people can get an item which will still be rare because 95% of the people complaining over it won't pay for the stream anyway. They can change these how they see fit, just as they can change their mind on your account tomorrow and close it since you own nothing but a door to the servers with "your money". Would it be smart? No. But the idea still stands.
Get over it. This is just nitpicking over stupid wording in "past" (People can change their minds? Whoa damn.) letters that effects nothing in the game. And people wonder why we can't see any productive ideas on these forums...
Nothing to see here. Move along.

I kind of agree that this was a sneaky move they shouldn't have made. If anything, they should have had a different item for the stream.

Hilariously humongous criminal corporations would be afraid if people could think a purchase through, too bad for us it's too late and the snowball is huge XD.
If they made it a separate item people would complain* they have to buy both the stream and the physical ticket, I think having it be the same is the best option by far.
*rightfully so, imo

You know I was downloading WoW the other day and saw an ad on the launcher for virtual tickets to Blizzcon that include in game items and was wondering why they weren't doing the same for Fanfest, then the very next day they posted about this, was kinda funny. Anyway you should know by now to never ever trust anything said about this game as final and set in stone, always take announcements even official with a whole mountain of salt, there's zero to none consumer trust by now
