A Lie = No moogle costum for anyone.
This is an improvement.

Don't really see any lies. However it does seem like if you attend the event or watch the stream that there should be different items. Ones who attend get this, and ones who watch get this. But also on that note then there are the ones who wouldn't be able to attend the event weather it be financial or location reasons that may then have a beef with the items also.
It probably should have been announced early on. If people just bought tickets and are just going for the in game items then I could see why they may be upset. But also on that note those people are probably ones that live locally. Even a 10 hour car trip is local to me. If not so what, you're going to Vegas, its hard to not have a good time while there. There is alot to do there, gambling aside there is so much more than that.
I guess its just it is what it is, go have a great time enjoy yourself meet some new people have some laughs. Get back home safe and enjoy your new items. Be greatful that you are able to attend, I'm sure that there are many who would love to be in your shoes that cannot make it.
You're. Not. Paying. For. The. Suit.
You're paying for the event where you get to meet both the people who made this game and other fans. You'll have the opportunity to see and get things few others will ever have the chance to.
The suit is a small thank you from the company for choosing to support them for however many months,as well as financially. People buying the premium livestream have been playing just as long, and will also be supporting them financially. Please actually use that noggin to not be bitter for a few seconds.

Mad you won't be able to sell the code to pay for you trip?
This thread is hilarious. You're upset that more people are going to get access to an item? Why? Because you want to be elitist by having what you want to be a rare item? Grow up.
The real reward for attending the fan fest was never an in-game item. It's getting to meet the producers of the game, trying out that Odin trial, meeting fellow fans, having a good time, getting to say "I was there". The digital reward is a little thank you. If that is the reason you are attending then you don't deserve your ticket.
I actually just read the updates to the OP. OP, if you're so upset about SE supposedly lying to you, then quit the game and go play another company's MMO... Everything in an MMO is subject to change. If they made it so that items that were exclusive months or years ago in FFXI or FFXIV are now accessible again it was probably the company's way to back to their loyal players. But if you can't see that then that's kind of sad.

Your inability to read has led you to believe that SE lied to you?
Nowhere does it say that this is exclusive. All this says is that you must buy the ticket and attend to get the item (to avoid people just buying tickets for the item then scalping it later most likely). Moreover, I like that they offer this, since a trip to Vegas for me would empty my pockets (also I couldn't go due to my job, so I like there's another option to check this thing out). Remember how butthurt people got over the minion you got with the game's OST?
Seriously, this "SE Truth Brigade" nonsense is idiotic. The -principle- (as opposed to the head of a school mind you) of the thing is that SE wants to give other players a chance at an item. Man, the sky is falling. WE MUST DEMAND THE HEAD OF YOSHI!!!!! It may have been different in other games, but guess what? We aren't playing that game, and things have changed.
Seriously OP, there's much bigger travesties for you to latch onto. Moogle pajamas aren't one of them.
On the one hand, I still take issue with the moogle set, because it remains a limited-duration, exclusive item, and I'll never support those.
Especially when they're tied to an external event and/or have a cost (I'll agree this is [at best] barely skirting the cash-shop design)
But on the other hand, this at least somewhat diminishes the exclusivity, which is a good thing.
And I'm not deluded enough to believe there weren't people that would throw down the money just for this item (both before and after the decision to add it to the Premium Stream). This discussion keeps coming up (Soundtracks, Recruit-a-Friend campaign, etc.), but these 'promo' items are never just added for the sake of being something you just happen to get 'on-the-side'. They know full well that people will actively pay the price just for them due to the perceived exclusivity. I've seen games where people would regularly throw down hundreds for standard cash-shop items to qualify for ladder 'prizes' (Tiered-Spender promos and the like) which were officially 'intended' to be 'bonuses' that you happen to get for blowing an excessive amount of money. The people that did this (essentially) would never just happen to get the 'bonus'; it was a conscious decision to basically buy it outright. And the companies that set this up weren't stupid; that's always the goal all along.

on a side note...didnt SE require folks put their character name/world on their ticket info?
If so, SE (and maybe other fans) will have a chance to tell you in person how they really feel :P
