    Launcher Instantly Crashes

My FF14 Launcher is instantly crashing on me. As soon as it opens up it crashes saying that "Final Fantasy XIV has stopped working".

It was working just fine about a week ago. The only difference is that I installed a beta driver from Nvidia but I reverted back to the official released one.

    System Specs:
    GTX470
    i7 at 3.6ghz
    12gigs of DDR3
    Windows 7 64-bit

I paused my anti-virus, changed the resolution (this shouldn't do anything since it's affecting the launcher, but you may never know), ran it under administrator, and even re-installed the game. What's going on?

Did you use a driver cleaner? nVidia drivers are known to leave lots of stuff behind even after deinstallation.

Nope. Actually that's the first time I've heard of that. Would you mind suggesting one that works the best?

Google is your friend. Or try the "clean install" option in the nv installer(if there is such an option).

It didn't do a thing. I tried using a Driver cleaner and even manually uninstalled the drivers via the control panel.

    Window Size: 1920x1080
    Display Mode: Full Screen
    Mulstisampling: 2x MSAA
    Buffer Size: Resolution
    Shadow Detail: Highest
    Ambient Occlusion: off
    Depth of Field: off
    Disable cutscene effects: off
    Texture Quality: High
    Texture Quality Filter: High

Again, it's the VERY first pop up of the launcher. Like the downloader/patcher is the one that instantly stops working.

The patcher uses direct3d and is pretty crappily coded. For now try moving the ffxiv folder in your username\my documents\my games\ to the desktop, run the config and set UPnP to "do not use" and try again.

    edit:
    Also clean the temp folder.

Still a no go. Thank you for all your efforts but I'm gonna do a full virus scan and see if anything wonky got in. Hopefully it's just that. Again, thank you so much for helping me out.
