    All I can think of when I see this is what will PETA say when they see this?

    In all seriousness, Fenrir isn't exactly what I would consider primal material for this game. All the primals, with exception of Bahamut and Odin, have an elemental aspect to which they are attuned. Bahamut has always been considered non-elemental as, for as far as I know, he never leaned toward any element. Odin is basically the same though he is widely regarded as Death in Final Fantasy's lore most times.

    Fenrir, like Diablos and Siren, doesn't fit into a niche that would be world shattering like the rest. I know, and respect, that he was a huge part of XI's world but moons are not elements thus far in XIV and earth is already taken. His placement will suffice.

    Neither does Garuda, Gilgamesh or King Mog. Arbitrary argument is arbitrary.

    Garuda's element is wind, Gilgamesh isn't a Primal, and King Mog doesn't follow the normal rules because he isn't a true Primal. He's a mythical being summoned into existence by the same process.

    Never played FFXI.

    Wind primal could be anything, Typhon, Choco, Mog, Syldra, the very same Fenrir, Pandemonium from VIII lol... any of these could have been the "wind primal".
    We are not talking about they being primals or not, we are talking about them not being Trial Battles, if not being a primal is an excuse to not have a trial battle, then why gilgamesh, king mog or ultima are in the trials are not bosses on their own dungeons?

    Arbitrary argument is arbitrary.

    Fenrir was being teased since 1.0 as a primal. On the live letters they shown the concept art as "Banshin Fenrir-ru".

    Actually.....Ultima is a last boss in a dungeon....so...

    SE can very easily surprise us and have Fenrir be a trial battle on top of being a dungeon boss.
