Hey, everyone! Our static finally cleared T9 last night (AHHHHHHH), so I figured I'd polish up and share a text guide I've been working on:

First fire target should default to staying out of 2nd fire, 3rd fire target defaults to staying out of fire 4. There is no "check your buffs" just do this.
I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
"You have to check the debuff". This is exactly my point. You ALWAYS go out, even if you don't explicitly need to. One less thing to check, one less thing to possibly go wrong. Doing it this way, the ONLY debuff you have to check for is Thunder. You can completely ignore Fire and Ice debuffs - just Fire out on odds, Fire in on evens.
Source: I've killed it far more than you have, and group consensus between 3 statics of friends with over 70 combined kills is the above.

I don't know about the idea you don't have to check your debuffs for ice and fire. I recall once, I had the fire-debuff during a fire-in phase. Had I not realized that and stacked with the group like usual, I would have died. Sometimes things get thrown off even if you've done everything perfectly.
It isn't possible for anything to get thrown off if you have no deaths and don't make any mistakes; the only way for you to have had the fire debuff is if you messed up and got hit by the out-fire when the tether wasn't on you. Ice is a set rotation and will only change if the next person on the list is dead.
You cannot debate this point. You're adding an extra step when it isn't needed and increasing the chance of failure by having your default be a habit that can potentially kill you if you don't notice your debuffs. By defaulting to staying out if you got the odd fire, you will never die to fire (unless other things went wrong and too many people died, in which case it is very difficult to recover anyway since a fire out may have to be a fire in, etc.).
This can lead to problems on Fire 3 and 4, because you will start the next wave with Fire when you should be neutral.
The guy above me has it right. Fire out, Fire everyone in but first guy. Rinse and repeat. Only time you gotta change stuff is if people mess up or are dead.
It's still good to "check your debuffs" because not everyone is always going to have a super clean run. It's good to know that in case things go wrong.
(Could you credit me for that second meteor placement image? My static-mates thought up the placement idea, but I made the image. My awesome Photoshop skills must be world renowned!)

One of the weirdest strategies I've seen until now for second meteorsHF if that's gonna be the "PUG-Variant" when 2.4 hits.
It wont, because any meteor placement strategy that you can't explain in 1 sentence is overly convoluted.
You can either:
1. Gather on tank and run around in a circle as soon as you see the first marker appear (add in sprint for a bit more safety, but losing this TP is not ideal)
2. Spread out after the last golem dies and just drop them along the outer circle, paying attention to where the others are dropping as you're placing yours
We used to do #1, but have since moved to #2 as it is safer and you can even do it if someone was asleep and Earthshock got off.
