What is the cheapest dye out there?

After trying to sell some dye on the Market Board and being shocked at the crazy low price I got to wondering if it was the same across all of Eorzea.

What is the cheapest dye on the Market Board on your server?

The one I was trying to sell on Blamung was Ochu Green. It was going for 4 Gil.

since you can get nearly all of them from beast tribe vendors for about 200 gil and from ventures for free, it should be the same situation on every server

Well i would assume every dye is cheap because the beast tribe venders sells some if not most of the crafted dyes.

Some dyes require the highest rank (trusted) to buy and are specific to certain beast men tribes. These can sell for quite a bit depending on demand and the server you are on.

ive seen some dyes selling for 10k.....

but as a crafter, get level 30, buy pigment, and then viola youve got most of the dyes people want for a low price of a pigment which can be gathered, and crystals that can be gathered!

alot of dyes people put on the MB too that are sold by the dymongers in game to try trick those who dont know/ too lazy to go to them.

+ Beast tribe dyes arent as popular as you think. most of the dyes you get are from lv2-3 and the final rank only really offers glamour dispellers, minion and mount, and housing items.

Why should they be expensive? Crafting them is incredibly easy and cheap, and so are the ones sold by vendors. They have no value.

I see dye go for over 1K per...even Snow White and Soot Black and other vendor dyes.

It's a laziness tax really...and as long as people buy it at those prices people will keep throwing them up for that much

lol I actually made a show white dye for a fc member yesterday... it took longer for the ps3 to load South Shroud than to actually gather the pigment and make the dye.

I totally get that it is much easier to get dyes for reasonable prices now than in the past.

I was just shocked at 3 gil for one.

I was also just curious to what other dye deals there are out there.

Celeste are going for 950ish at the moment on Odin.
Cactuar is pretty high. Can't remember off the top of my head but stupid expensive for dye.
