I believe the room should not be scrapped when you leave a FC but rather reconnect to your GC, make the room have some aether tether cost or something (100K to tether your room to your FC and GC) - to get the room initially can be gil or seals w.e.

I agree that the personal room would likely be an excellent option for solo players if they just make it friendlier, like you suggest - add some planters. Add a moogle too while we are at it, even if he only did a few things the amount of nostalgia would just kill me lol. Also small changes to the system they already have is a more reasonable expectation for the next year.

I still fantasize about being able to have a Rift/Wild Star sort of system in a FF game, since FF art is so awesome and I know they could do much better if they only had the power from the system (but obviously that is a big investment in time and therefore money, although server wise it wouldn't be too bad). I know a system like that would take much more time but I haven't given up hope lol.

I'm afraid of the game once Ninja comes out, it is going to be such a cluster fun time.. Frontlines: Suddenly out of the shadows 3 ninjas jump on your head. DF: Everyone is a precious newbie and no one has a BLM or SMN with that sweet off cure and raise. (Afraid in the "this is going to be funny, yet awful" kind of way :P)

Really hope they change their current stance on hard mode dungeons, they're not really hard and they don't really drop anything worthwhile (besides vanity options) - I suppose you can use them to SB, lol.

Finally, my WoW is talking - Fenrir looks so mountable.. XD

    Edit:

Just goes to show how much the ball was dropped in 2.38.

Slightly more on topic, I hope 2.4 is the patch where the expert dungeons stop dropping so many crafting mats. I run them every day for Alex maps and sometimes more than once a day for extra myth, and haven't completed any sets yet. Closest is bard, but I'm still missing the boots.

And imho (and the opinions of many others) he did lie.

Defend it if you want, but player housing was yet another thing overly hyped and implemented half-arsed, screwing over the players.
I'm not really defending it, I have a non-partial view to what happened. However, I do simply like to relate the facts, however mundane they sound to readers. You can hold it as an opinion that it was implemented half-arsed, but it was always planned to be implemented in that very manner since the start. It was simply not publicized as well as it should have been. Or maybe Yoshi-P didn't think it would receive as much backlash as it did.

What's done has been done, something like personal housing is a very unique situation that will likely never happen again. Speaking from the mindset of a programmer, the next time Yoshi-P has a high chance of dropping the ball again should be when they attempt to expand general character inventory.

We players do most of the hyping for the game, be it spurred on by the team or not. It's just something that happens. At least with personal housing, it becomes a game of patience, since the problem that needs to be solved can only be corrected by beefing up their servers or meticulously adding more and more wards with each successive patch to meet demand.

I've seen the bard's hat drop yesterday after doing expert roulettes since 2.3 launched. So I'm down with no more mats.

What I'm looking forward to in 2.4: The next big issue that will trump the housing issue.

That way, people can stop whining.

Maybe it was the players' fault for hyping themselves that personal housing would be different (when being told that personal housing prices would be separate from FC, and thus more affordable, but eventhat's not being the case as far as the price is concerned.)

Can you imagine the backlash if they'd mention that we'd receive three new expert dungeons for a patch, but they ended up releasing only two and never bothered saying anything until the day of? That's, from what I see, essentially happened in regards to the pricing of personal houses. Not that prices are the big issue here, but it really leaves room for doubt when it comes to what to expect from when a developer makes a post. In the end, you want some sort of hype so players have something to look forward to, as well as word-of-mouth to sell the game.
