SE are masters of announcing announcements which just builds unnecessary hype and it breeds dissapointment for no reason, especially when it does not even come close to what the initial announcement would suggest is within reason.
I think they never said that gunner will come with ninja, it was all the community guessing.
They said that a new class will come, community said Gunner ( because guns guild is the only one remaining and not available ) then they said it was ninja and the community thought gunner and ninja.
