Why not have a Golden Saucer inspired town in the game? That has the same purpose golden saucer did.Take something like FFVII's Golden Saucer games and add them to the game. Not exactly the same of course, but you get the idea. Like the battle games, where you could be reward for defeating mobs in an arena, something similar to BCNM's in FFXI, but ya know? With it's own twist.

Probably the fear of lag due to everyone being in the same place.
Parley is a poor minigame at best, I'm pretty sure most agree with that. I'm looking or a bigger minigame (a bit of an oxymoron there), something we can play against each other.
Chocobo racing, card games, Golden Saucer-esque games, that sort of thing. I would love a collectable card game, personally.
doop doop

Collectible Trading Cards, now stamped with the faces of your Favourite NPCs XDProbably the fear of lag due to everyone being in the same place.

Did you expect something witty?

Lag would a poor excuse.. they could find a way to make it work. Like having each mini game section be instanced.Probably the fear of lag due to everyone being in the same place.
