please give us the option to retract our lot.

Just been in SC and went to lot amons breeches.

I put my lot in on need, and went to pass the other items, unfortunatlly i hit lot on the unidentified alligan tombstone too.

guess which lot went though 1st. its a pain when you can't pass if you mistakenly lot on other loot with a 1 item lockout. i mean i had the time to pass i just couldn't,

this made me a sad panda today

seriously, nothing wrong with loot as it is today, run again in a week and probably piece will drop again for you.

Thanks Mei, I not gonna rage quit for this or run off crying, it happened, i dealt with it but the moment it happened i could see exactly what was about to transpire, sorta like when your about to be in a car crash (nothing enjoyable there right,) you can see exactly whats about to happen yet you can do nothing about it lol. the option to be able to hit pass immediately before anyone else had lotted and passed would have just made the situation avoidable.

but still you can edit and fix things if you accidently blacklist someone

Now, it makes sense that they don't want you to be able to cancel a roll and re-roll again, but they can just let you change a roll to a pass. It's not much of a change to leave the Pass button active and have it override the Need/Greed result. Heck, they could let you stage down to change a Need roll to a re-roll on Greed and a Greed roll to a pass, or just go straight to pass.

I almost always pause and roll/pass on everything in the first 10 seconds, so if someone wanted a specific drop, or if they had asked and I forgot, I can't change my roll to let them have it. Sure it's my error, but I'm not the one it's a problem for.
^ FFXI had to option to roll then pass on your roll thats all they need to do, not asking for rework, yep i was rushing through to allow other people to get their drops, and made a mistake, not asking for the entire game to be reworked around my stupidity, just 1 button not to be grayed out, its not game breaking at all

what to do if you accidently toll on loot you don't want from ST? Open Duty Finder, and click "Leave Instance" =\ eat the 30 min lockout over the 10,080 one.

This is the fault of the player, not the system.

You're the reason they didn't let us right-click > blacklist people in 2.0, because they thought we'd be stupid enough to blacklist our friends.

Seeing how some people are, I wouldn't be surprised if they did so.

Personally I think the looting system needs to be redesigned anyway. As currently it is very easy to need or greed on an item in error if the following situation occurs:

    [Item A][Item B][Item C] up for roll.

You passed on [Item A]. You click on [Item B] however just as you clicked the [Item A] rolls completed. As you were clicking through loot fast just to get it out of the way, need or greed has already been clicked as you still catch a glimpse of the [Item C] icon in the loot popup window.

And in order to counter that not just the GCD has to be a drag in this game, but also the looting process has to be approached slowly and with double checks. Just to make sure no drops suddenly changed position in the loot window again.

Indeed... it's the fault of the rush morons that don't even give time for anyone to click the rolls in peace before they pull the next mob/boss.

That's nice... unless the situation I had today happens... I accidentally clicked "greed" instead of "pass" and I got the loot straight away.

    Suggestions:

    - Confirmation if we really want to roll on <item>
    - Option to retract from loot roll.
    - Increase the rolls to 2 items per week.
    - Lower the loot lockout to once every 3 days.

I don't know who thought it was cute to dump 1 item per week out of a raid when we have 13 slots to upgrade. Spending almost 3 months to get a full set of gear upgraded (and thus, glamoured so I don't like a f**ing clown due to the horrendous taste of whoever comes up with these armors/clothes) doesn't make me want to stay in the game, it makes me want to quit it.

I suppose it follows the same banana logic as for the housing prices: "oh look, on average people are swimming in 10 bazillion gil. Let's make house prices retarded." - Yes... because we all are RMT sellers or buy from RMT, right SE?

Oh, and can we get rid of this idiotic word limit on posts now? This isn't twitter... thanks.

Personally, I find the 1 week-lock-out silly in general. Why? To make you grind more? To make it more frustrating to get your equipment?

Why not do it like this: 1 Need roll a week on an item that you are eligible for a need on. After that, still allow us to greed on up to 5 pieces a week (unlimited is preferred but if you want a limit, have it). This way it would be ensured that players that haven't been able to get their item get the need roll but it still doesn't lock everyone else out for a whole freaking week.

ST is not a raid. Just a dungeon

    It is..

    Fun though.
