theres this guy, who is selling hundreds of 99ish stack of wp chest items on the market board

no matter if bardiche heads, bow rims, grimoire bindings, he's selling thousands of each for dumping prices

its a great sourch for fc II DM, but I still wonder how someone is able to get that many many thousands of these things


edit: he showed up from one day to another, the prices for these items were 10k-70k gil ea, until that day

There are botting programs for queuing dungeons to farm mats/chests/gil. In fact, I've reported 4 groups of bots I saw in Ul'dah standing near a retainer bell. 2 Groups would queue simultaneously while the 2 groups that returned would dump their loot (rinse and repeat). I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case here.

Like the poster above me said, there are RMT bots that que a party of blms over & over for wanderers palace and they farm the first half of it all the time. No normal player would have that many and sell them in stacks of 99. RMT are also doing that with materia cause they SB gear and sell the materia for Novus.

I saw stacks of 99 materia on sale cant remember what tier it was but yea, to answer your question its probably RMT bots.

I'm sure it's dodgy, but going by the retainer names, I suspect it's a player (or several), rather than RMT.

The market on Odin stinks in many ways, a few buyers appear to spend 10's of millions per day on overpriced items/materia/minions, causing prices to be insane for some items. Not to manipulate the market, but just buy whatever they want, no matter the cost.

some of the items are drops from the chest in front of the 2nd boss, that means that these "bots" have to pass the half instance including the first boss battle
