    Warriors tanking with Holmgang

    Holmgang I'll say is a nifty move, but not sure why the distance is so short? If the distance was further this would be a much better tanking move, also I would say it would be cooler if it could be used on multiple monsters all at once. just a thought: confused:

    Holmgang is kinda our wanna be Hallowed Ground/Tempered Will. It's worse than both. There's any number of things that could improve it. By favorite uses are pulling ranged mobs into a group for AOE (like monkeys on Hullbreaker) or binding the 2nd boss of Wanderer's Palace.

    Anyhow, I don't think anyone would argue that it isn't all it could be.

    Holmgang is definitely an underwhelming skill. I don't find myself in a whole lot of situations in which I can really use it, mostly because the skill spreads itself way too thin as far as utility goes. The only times I've ever really used it were to survive a big attack (Like a mountain buster or something) long enough to get healed. Even then, that almost never happens for me.

    Holmgang is about the only move that I would like to see changed that Warrior currently has. It tries to do too many things at once, without doing any of them particularly well. There aren't many times where I would use Holmgang as an 'oh shit' button, as, like Hallowed, the animation time and the skill actually activating take too long. The self-root is handy for things like the Landslides during Titan's row bombs just before the Super Bombs, as PUGs often tend to not bait the five-way Landslide leaving you little space to avoid it.

    Aside from that, it's pretty useless.

    Actually it saved my ass a lot of times, so i wouldn't say that it's useless. The draw in effect could be better, but the main purpose of the skill is to save your life, and it do it decently considering it's CD, you can't compare it to HG

    Actually, I suppose you could make an arguement that it is our HG/TW AND Cover... cause you could use it to pull a Melee mob that's trying to get away from someone. But yeah, I think everyone could say it's "Saved them before" But unless they lower the cooldown to make it useable as often as those three abilities combined, then it's less than each of them.

    Holmgang is about half as good as Hallowed Ground, give or take. But then again, under half the recast, so they won't make it on par with Hallowed Ground without changing that at least.

So even though Hallowed Ground has less effects than Holmgang, it still has way more use. I think it should have a buff in some form or another to make it more useful like Hallowed is.

    Holmgang still sucks as an "oh, shit" button. I only use holmgang for it's draw mechanic but even that's is bugged at best. The draw only works on small mobs and on larger ones it just freezes them on spot which is normally a good thing but on occasion I find myself sitting out of melee range while the boss is still using ranged moves on me. The draw mechanic needs to be reworked or fixed asap. The death immunity and shorter cd is ok. If you're in a static then your healers will know how to react when they see you at 1hp but it's so niche that it hardly ever sees any action outside of PvP and even in PvP I use it for its draw mechanics for those who try to escape from me.

    Right now my main use of Holmgang is in the Dzemael Darkhold to pull those floating balloon mobs closer so that the party doesn't have to venture out of the safety zones.

    I'd like it very much if it had the range of Tomahawk though. As of right now it feels way to short, though I've been spoiled by games like DC Universe Online where a tanks pull move could literally yank a mob from across the mini map and toss them behind you.
