    Explain to me how this would wreck any game systems please? This doesn't 'bypass' anything. It simply forces hybrid jobs to confirm to the trinity when queuing with the DF.

    This system would ONLY affect hybrids such as BLU. All other jobs would use the DF exactly as they currently do.

    Are you saying that any new additions to the game that require changes to existing game systems should never be implemented? Because SE already regularly change existing game systems to implement new stuff. Your post makes no sense.

    The irony? The Armory system pretty much already wrecked it and they're even admitting they're in a tight spot, hence them looking into a revamp of some kind. It may not be an overhaul (for now) but they kind of had to get around it to even make Ninja possible. This is why XI is still the more "complex" MMO, because each unique class that's not a 'standard job' comes with its own system of gameplay, e.g Dancer, Blue Mage, Puppetmaster and Geomancer - They all have their own style of gameplay and mechanics no other class has, for example Geomancer is cardinal based in nuking and positionally based with buffs/debuffs.

    I had an idea how to solve the Beast Master and Blue Mage dilemma awhile back.

    Call the class: Beast MASTER. In Final Fantasy 1 the Hand to Hand/Monk class Upgraded eventually to the Master class.

    So you have it as a DPS 2nd job on Pugilist, again working STR based. So instead of investing in harnessing Chi, the Master seeks to emulate the different creatures of Eorzia, thus gaining new combos that mimic the powers of the wildlife.

    Spells like Bad breath could always be one of the spells that will not reach its full power or be usable at all unless under the effect of "insert 15min ability here" or w/e cd other classes have their more powerful spells on. So you can use it only more rarely. There are solutions for everything SE just needs to want it. The class/job system they have is just plain bad though, it hurts every job out there imo and I really hope they remake it come the expansion regardless of BLU making an appearance or not (although I hope it does).

    Also to you people saying bad breath would be op and white wind being op no just add a long cd and if u still think its op LOOK AT EARTHWALL that thing is really op no cd and protects all dmg for 29 min so its used up a whm can easily spam that ~_~

    I always thought that if BLU were to come into this game, they could learn moves that could make them fill in one of the 3 trinities. Say if you have learned tanking abilities from fell foes, your BLU job can be a tank; if you learn DPS abilities, you'd be DPS; healing abilities and you are a healer. However for starters (like ARN), you would have buff and debuff abilities.

    To be realastic, I can imagine how would the BLU be implemented in ARR...
    BLU will have other class/jobs' skill with different names, just like cure and physick.
    Maybe, BLU will have some pet's skill with different names as well.

    By the way BLU AF looks like a farmer, why he got so many loves from you? ^^;

    actally no, it's essentially a pre-empetive heal for 18% of the target's max HP, which generally speaking is actually inefficient compared to just throwing a normal Cure on a target - and even when it's a WAR with 11k HP it's still pushing MP-inefficient due to being twice as expensive and also having a longer-than-GCD cast time. The real value of Stoneskin is in the fact that it's several thousands of HP worth of MP you're not spending to heal once you're already in battle.

    Anyway, the real question is not "can we do a Blue Mage" - because they absolutely can - but whether or not what they create comes out actually like a Blue Mage in more than just name. Creating a good Blue Mage that functions in its own unique space on more than just the ability learning mechanics is the hard part.
