before bash me, it's more where is our "kefka"? where is our "edea"?

it's more about, who is our big boss enemy that we are looking to stop. i know you will say the ascien or zordiark, but i feel they are way too much invisible and we can't really put a name on the Ascien, most of them did appear 1-2 times in some Cut scene and since that... nothing.

in the V1 it was Nael and the empire, in the 2.0 it was gaius and lahabrea... but since that, nothing really charismatic for make us remember them name. i feel FF14 lack a really charismatic bad guys actually, we are fighting the primordial but it seems soo much... empty. if we had a bad guy, we will have he feeling of continuity between quest line from the different big patch, but there it's..."the ascien" as a group not as a person.

Have you seen the quotes from Dissidia? Several of the worst bad guys of the FF franchise think she's the most evil.

I have a feeling 2.4 is going to address this issue, as it seems we're starting the transition into the 3.0 storyline.

I don't think we'll ever get one if only because FF14 is so influenced by the Ivalice games people keep asking if it's part of them. The ultimate villain's probably going to remain the world rules.

even in ivalice's game you had big baddies. but i see what you mean, i'm more concerned by the feeling that the questline of the main story is less interesting because we lack this feeling that the world is at risk, everything seems way too calm. i know that the empire is not done for, i know that the ascien are moving, i know that the 2.3 end questline seems to add another faction. however, we still lack a character central on the bad side.
in the V1 we had nael and the 2.0 gaius, here no one is really coming out and make us want to know what he is doing and worry about what he can plan for throw down the world into chaos.

don't get me wrong, i don't ask for know all of him, but to have a face and a name that will leave it trace in our mind and make us remember it.

I think as of right now, we're right in the "calm before the storm" part of the story. So there are a lot of major stuff happening the backround but the main villain(s)(ascians) is/are just waiting for a trigger to go off so "they" can get out of the shadows and get their plan going.
