FFXIV Fan Festival 2014 (NA) VIP Ticket Purchases

As you might have seen on our recent update to the Fan Festival 2014 website, or through email announcement last week, we're offering a VIP Ticket transfer for all current ticket holders for $80. This upgrade from your general admission ticket features:

• VIP attendee badge
• VIP attendee t-shirt
• Separate registration line for badge pickup
• Reserved seating in the front rows for all stage activities
• Exclusive signing session access with guests from the FFXIV Development Team
• Early access to the event on Saturday & Sunday
• 10% discount on merchandise sold at the event
• One (1) free drink ticket at cash bars within Fan Festival 2014 at the Rio Hotel & Casino
  *Alcoholic drinks redeemable only by persons age twenty one (21) and over, photo ID required

Access to the upgrade system opens Wednesday, September 17, at 10:30 a.m. (PDT).


In order to purchase your transfer upgrade, you'll need to use the following passcode on the Transfer screen:

Is that only for the first 250? New-email don't mention the amount of tickets available: we're offering a VIP Ticket transfer for all current ticket holders for $80. I'm hoping to get one!

If we have ordered 2 tickets will we be able to upgrade both at the same time? Or will we have to upgrade them one by one potentially not being able to get both tickets upgraded?

I think it might be separate... Which stinks for us, especially because i am going with my sister :/

I too would love an answer to this question because if only one of the 2 tickets I bought ends up being upgraded then its pretty useless since we wont be able to sit together at stuff or come at the same time or even goof off in line for registration together.

Is it similar to how purchasing tickets was? So if I'm able to login I'll be reserved for my 2 tickets to upgrade to VIP for the next 15 minutes or until I complete my transaction? Otherwise I run a huge chance of only 1 of my tickets getting upgraded which would be a huge waste since I'm going with someone. Thus splitting us into 2 separate lines, seating areas, etc. and not being able to enjoy the event together.

I am concerned about this as well. With only 250 slots, what happens when only one ticket manages to get transferred? That's not really cool considering it splits parties in half (or worse). Can we cancel the VIP upgrade if we are unable to transfer the entire set?

That sounds like a horrible system now I have to choose between a bunch of extras or hanging out with the person I booked with :/

I would also like clarity on this. I booked with another person and do not want to risk possibly only getting one upgrade, and then have him stuck all on his own, for example.
