    Question 24 Man endgame dungeon raids. Will we see more?

    So the game has been out for a year now, and so far the only end game dungeons we have been given are the 8 man coils which are mostly restricted to statics and some pugs that are willing to gather randoms for.
    Sycrus Tower was a nice addition to the casual aspect, but since most groups gather via duty finder, and parties are restricted to 1 tank, 2 healers, 5 DDs, no one really sets up alliances with their FC to raid the content (excluding reset day.)

    My question is will there be any more 24 man content that are on the same level of difficulty as the coils? Will we be restricted to the same party set up as CT and ST, and if so when will we be able to fully customize our alliances they way we want to? (Less tank/heals for more Damage for an example.)

    I don't like seeing just 8 man content be all that XIV has to offer for end game. I don't mind it, but I hunger for more that will bring larger FCs together for content. I can't be the only one?

    The devs have stated before that they don't want to tightly tune 24-man dungeons because of how much more difficult it is to coordinate a group that size. Obviously an FC would be able to do it okay but they need to be conscious of the Duty Finder crowd as well (there's as many complaint threads about things being impossible to DF as there are about things being too easy). I also think the alliance system still has some technical restrictions that necessitate the party makeup restrictions (ie. no way to remove the makeup restriction on premade alliances without removing it from single parties as well which would open up issues with not enough/no tanks or heals in a CT/ST run)

    I really do wish they made 24 and 32 endgame raids. CT/ST is just casual raid pretty simple to do even if the party fails. Issue with ffxiv is they release endgame in a 8 man way so FC ended up just being small and never getting big like in FFXI. Where you had over 50+ people per linkshell doing sky,cop or other endgame stuff.

    But the downside of 24-32 would be getting 24-32 to log in at the same time and day to do said endgame. But if you have over 200+ members you could just do raid with the people on. But even that wont work due to people job and ilvl so it seem we be stuck with 8 man dungeon for endgame.

    1 person out of 24 makes a mistake and all wipe

    Do not want that. It is already difficult enough to organize the schedule with 8 people having a 7 or 8h work day and stuff for coil who are able to do coil.

    Forgive me for relating to World of Warcraft, but have you ever done a 24 man raid in that game before? It's quite fun.

    Never liked WoW, but finding and organizing 24 players for content that's as difficult as T5+ would be a complete disaster.

    I remember the Pandemonium Raids from Anarchy Online. For me, I don't need such stuff anymore.

    I used to think it would be a lot of fun to have coil-tier endgame content with that many people...but after going through CT/ST (which is far less difficult), I just don't see it happening any time soon (at the very least). I think this game attracts the more casual crowd over the hardcore kind that could easily participate in a 24 coil-status raid, and it's already hard enough to coordinate 8 people to perform well, show up on time/dedicate themselves in coil.

    But, that's not to say we will never see something like that. I'd say, give it some time to allow for new jobs (possibly support ones) before we see larger raids.
