I'd imagine the reason outside peripherals aren't allowed is because they present a security risk. However, even without that there's also liabilities. Like how SE can't be held liable if your peripherals are lost, damaged, or stolen.

In the case of flash drives, were they allowed then people could casually attach a drive to a computer and use it to record keystrokes, which they could then use to learn the usernames and passwords to the event accounts. That's just one example of why I think they won't be allowed.

The characters are premade, so you don't get to choose race, you're only choice is to pick the job you can play best while also allowing other people in your group to pick a job they are knowledgeable/comfortable with. Once you sit down at your station you'll get a few minutes to make changes to your bars to set it up how you like.

This is good to know ahead of time, because I can just take a pic of my cross hotbar set-up at home and mimic it when i get my premade char. Even though I have been playing bard since 2.0 launch with the same bar set-up post-50 for like a year, I can probably set it up just from memory how i have it.

The premade chars info also answers the question I came here to ask. Guess I won't need to bring my authenticator since I won't be using my char.

Gonna be weird not using my character....my damage on a premade will prob suck because I'm sure what we are doing won't put me in full i110 ;-;
