So question from new to FFXIV PvP player

So, I play some frontlines get my levels up, save up some Wolf Marks until I can finally get some gears, change into all the new cool gears I bought, then....

"Change your gear Noob, Morale doesn't effect in FL"


Uhm so wth, wht is the point of this gear that we cant even use in FL.. ?
just vanity then, taking up a bunch of my retainer spots...?

Yes, it's vanity for now. SE is working on fixing it.

At the moment it only works for that one bracket of Wolves Den that no one plays anymore. Ocassionally, you can find some Primal PvPers doing Wolves' Den events. You can log into their IRC here and coordinate matches with them. If you don't you'll have an impossible queue to beat.

Its outdated content unfortunately, unless you want the glamour. Kind of like how WoW had previous PvP season gear on vendors for years even though the level 70 gear wasn't used for current content.

It's still useful for the content it was designed for. But that content has passed.

However it will likely be the case that ranking up and having wolf marks will become relevant again (especially the rank) so if you are a forward thinker, it is still worth it.
