Personally I don't see why you'd even kick such a person.
I mean what do you need? 3 DPS, one healer, one tank.

Boom you can proceed and do both story dungeons 0 problemo.
Just let the rest watch and ignore them.

Only runs where I have to wait for the CS are the ones where both tanks are new.

Just report them and move on. They aren't supposed to kick you just for watching cutscenes. Coming here to debate about it won't do anything, most people don't learn how to be decent human beings to each other until they have a GM speaking to them in-game.

There are no valid grounds for a member to be kicked because they choose to watch CS. It is rude, unprofessional (in a mmorpg professional way) and should be considered absolute griefing. Now, it would be good for those that want to watch the CS to announce it as soon as they can so the rest are prepared to have delays. This doesn't guarantee a person won't be kicked but at least the forewarning has been served and can be included in the report against the antagonist(s). Those that are kicking people - cut the crap out, stop exercising your perceived elitist rights (because you have none).

You can't report someone just for kicking you though. Maybe if they were being verbally abusive before hand, but kicking someone, even for something as arbitrary as watching cutscenes, falls under "differences in playstyle" and SE won't do anything about that.

Still confused as to why people do story mode roulette and then expect people to skip cutscenes which are part of the story mode, considering the bonus is there to get people into the content to make sure people who haven't done it before can do it.
I give up on this one though. There's just too many gits playing this game apparently. Rest assured if I do story mode, I go in on the assumption I might get new people who might want to watch the cutscenes, and I don't cry about it.
As for the PF arguement, why don't YOU make a PF and go tick the 'womg not watching the 5 minute cutscenes because too pro' button and make your party that way. Just a thought!

Paragon Studios stopped this behavior by simply making everyone view the cutscene if even 1 character hadn't seen it yet, but if everyone has already viewed it, then it auto-skipped it.

Did players whine and moan? Of course. Guess what? They got over it.

Perhaps SE could take a similar approach so the players that can't tolerate an additional minute or two getting added to the dungeon won't drive off new customers...

(For the record, I have the skip option turned on. However, I do not think anyone has the right to join the Duty Finder and expect a randomly generated team to do speed runs.)

Just let the myth hungry people run DF the way they want, kicking the people they are supposed to help in order to get said myth reward. I mean, it's not like there are many other more time efficient ways to get myth, right? /sarcasm (there is always one)

Instead of having another new CS thread, maybe the mods should just sticky a generic one at the top. Save everyone some time and the next one that wants to complain can post there.

IMO, you can play the way that you want. I do story mode roulette every day (for SB and novus light, less so for myth). You can choose to watch the CS or keep up with the group. Doesn't matter to me either way.

7 years of MMO experience, honey.
I've seen people insta dropping from dungeons that contain scripted events (which cannot be sped up if you have gear that trivializes the whole dungeon) waay more often than I can count.
People HATE to wait for stuff, esp stuff they have seen 100 times.

As far as I am concerned: If the group wants to watch the scenes, I'm cool with that. I play windowed mode and can harass forums while waiting.
I never would kick, nor would I allow such an idiotic kick to go through silently.

However, if the group decides to leave the sole DPS watching by himself and continue the run I most certainly won't speak against it.
