Okay, so I went through castrum and praetorium for the first time last night. my experiences were:

Castrum: waited about 9 mins for a queue, which as a healer was a bit longer than expected. went in, skipped cutscenes. apparently everyone else was experienced, because no one waited for cutscenes at all. didn't really know the place that well, and the speedrun was so incredibly fast, I flat out sprinted from one boss to the next, not even being in range enough to get a regen on the tank until the bosses, in which I got maybe 3 holy's off and the boss was dead, and more sprint. overall, could have watched the cutscenes, and would not have made a lick of difference in the party. didn't really miss much either, the area was pretty much self explanatory

Praetorium: waited almost 15 mins in queue as healer, unqueued, partied up with 3 fc members (party of 2 heals, 1 tank, 1 dps) and requeued. 9 mins with half the party filled, still bad queue times. got in, fc tank tried her best to explain what was going on in teamspeak while we were running, but it was pretty much just a "sprint through the dungeon and try not to get lost." flew through in cleric stance, all the way to final boss, when I finally got a moment to actually heal. healed for about 30 secs, boss dead. putting cutscenes in the middle of battles is annoying.

Overall, If I had sat and watched all the cutscenes and not stopped, would not have made a lick of difference to either myself or the party.

    I totally agree. That's a nice suggestion.

I just did what I had to do, which is keeping everyone alive, without thinking about other alternative. Now You ignited a new idea. Next time such thing happens, I'll let the impatient people die LOL. Sounds like lots of fun.

Also, you made very good points!!

Myths...?What about hunts...?Either way Castrum and Prae is not worth doing anymore to me, whenever I do it I just do it for fun lol. But it'd be nice if SE give us double/triple myth for watching all the cutscenes, I am pretty sure people will stop complaining. Either way, whenever someone watch cutscenes I am sure I am not twiddling my thumbs, I will just alt-tab to another game or have a handheld next to my keyboard lol.

Pro Tip: You have no idea who to report because you have no way of knowing who actually voted to kick you. There are a million bots running around, so I doubt your hurt feeling are taking top priority on any GM's list.

as far as I know, people do castrum and praetorium for a bit of spiritbonding on ilvl 45-49 stuff. it is a bit of variety from the urths gift grind.

    Ad nauseum:

A Latin term for a discussion that has continued so long that it has continued "to [the point of] nausea".

Myth is too easy to get to be any kind of incentive. They'd have to change it to something far more alluring like 100 of *weekly cap tomestone* that doesn't count against your cap.

But isn't that a conjecture, as your sig says? You are assuming that this thread has gone onto the point of ad nauseum, and that others might agree, yet have not asked everyone that has posted on the thread if they agree. So you have incomplete information on the subject.

    Over all point:

People are being rude in Duty Finder - Fact
New players are being treated badly in Duty Finder - Fact
Vet's are being treated badly in Duty Finder - Fact

Why does it continue? - Because people say they have the right to treat people that way :/

Guess I'm just one of those truth seekers so I'm not speculating.

Actually you can be reported for kicking someone for dumb reasons and get in trouble. Some peeps in one of my ls used duty finder for levi ex and when one of the dps repeatedly fell off the boat they vote kicked him. They got jailed and a warning about doing it again so it is punishable.

Personally I would never vote kick someone for watching CS. I prolly wouldnt even go ahead on the fight unless everyone agreed about it first.

I was in a run with 4 peeps who apparently df it together and the healer refused to heal while the new peeps including the other healer were in cs. I had to laugh at the two tanks and a dps trying to solo Ultima with no heals.

Did I make an assumption or did you? Also, which one of us produced a source?
