Sounds like the description of my first run. When I first did it, I got left behind at the CS after the first boss. I didn't see the chute and ended up lost & confused, & no one would help me. I finally caught up to the others and skipped all the CSs. I regret doing this bc I really had wanted to see them but didn't want to get left behind/lost again. btw I was a tank at the time. It really ruined the experience for me. And on top of that, I didn't learn how to do the dungeon either.
This is my stance as well.
Maybe they thought she was a bot/leech that wanted to stay in CS' to be carried? It's happened before. It's a mistake on their end, but not a malicious one. I personally don't agree with kicking newbies out of CM/Prea but I am fine with leaving them behind. Although I haven't been in those two dungeons in ages.
Anyway this argument is extremely old. Ethical or not, if a newbie wants a perfect run through of the last two main scenario raids his or her best bet is asking FCmates, using the party finder or simply gathering up friends. I got my FC/friends to help me through them as a newbie. I did it before party finder existed. /shrug/
Hate to break it to you, but I reported someone for this behavior and now they are no longer playing. Please stop feeding lies to people.Hate to break it to you, but it's totally not a reportable offense. GMs have already weighed in and they said they will not get involved in disputes over playstyle difference kicking. You can be upset about it all you like, but don't lie to people.
Also, that vanilla experience logic is just nonsense. If that was the case then everyone should be synced down to fresh 50 stats, which doesn't happen.
To your other point, since when did we start talking about gear and ilevel in this discussion? This was about skipping/kicking for cut-scenes. At least stay on topic or I will report you for trolling.
Edit- Looks like others have seen GM take actions against this as well. How is that quote working out for you? I guess being rude and disrespectful to new players isn't something the GMs take kindly. Seems you have lost.
In all the runs I did of Prae/CM, I haven't seen a person watching CS kicked, especially now that there is a added myth bonus. Glad to see people like Vesper are the minority in such behavior.

I agree it is simply rude and if players are new i will let others know or even wait back for a person if they are looking at cs.
This is Prae as example
People just think because they cleared the content who cares about others, that is the attitude i find sometimes anyhow
As far as I know, the majority of people who use The DF is because they already cleared the content. HOWEVER, the entire reason you're getting the bonus tomes is because someone registered hasn't cleared it, and is in queue for a long time waiting for it.
So yeah, I let them enjoy the content the way it was meant to be played and watched, unless they don't care. This "Skip the CS" mentality is total bs and I'd have no problem vote kicking someone adamant on ruining a new players experience with their attitude and speed run mentality. If you want a speed run, YOU make the PF and list that in your details. Otherwise, grab a drink, go bio, or stfu while a new player enjoys the cutscenes .
This argument can go both ways.
Yes it's wrong to kick them without telling them they're holding up the team, but at the same time new players got to be alert that not everyone will have the patience to wait on them to watch the full CS video. I caught on to this quick when I did my first primal fight as a low level. It sucks I can't watch the whole thing, but I don't want to waste other peoples time because they probably have plans such as myself to do in reality. I can always recap what I did not watch at the inn.
It would be better if the CS had a shorter duration like 15-30 secs and none can skip it. Leave the long CS for solo content and short ones for group content such as dungeons and raids.
They most likely used DF, not roulette, as his/her family member needed a specific dungeon run.
@Topic: People should stop suggesting to watch cutscenes at the inn. As someone posted previously, it's not the same as watching them as you progress in the story. I skip CS yet I respect those who watch them. Just for example, I killed Nael Van Darnus yesterday after months of practicing, NO ONE was gonna stop me from watching the cutscene as she dies, no matter what, while some wanted to rush the coffers and roll on their loot.
For the same rude reason that person got kicked (and imo was abused), people could do the same to those who skip cutscenes and world would fall on them if they did.
PS: The inn cs book isn't to watch cutscenes, but RE-watch.

How is watching your cs's equal to being carried through??? Being carried through is when someone is doing absolutely nothing. These players were engaged in every fight.... But I guess this is what this mmo has come to. I find it hard to believe that b/c you get an added bonus for HAVING new players for the dungeons that people are still kicking newbies simply for watching a damn cs. As veterans we have an obligation to help new players. You can't expect via DF to have every one already completed the content. Its ludicrous.
And where exactly would a new player get this impression? Every fight and dungeon beforehand is never an issue. It seems to only happen with the last two missions. The last two. Every other one leading up to them is usually hassle-free. That's because there aren't a thousand cutscenes sprinkled throughout the entire dungeon in every other one before CM/Prae. That's cool that you caught on early, I guess, but no one can reasonably expect that to be the case for every new player. And I doubt the developers really intended that, as well. "Hey, let's make a bunch of cutscenes that we never intend anyone to watch. This book in the inn is also where you may watch cutscenes, not for the sake of re-watching them, no, but for seeing them the first time of course."This argument can go both ways.

You're not wasting anyone's time. You're playing the game content you paid for. In fact, it's their fault if they have plans to do, for joining long dungeons, espcially in a DF, which randomly selects players you don't know.
