Make password resets/lockouts less strict

What constitutes "suspicious login patterns" along with how the user is penalized for entering wrong passwords is way, way too strict and is extremely frustrating.

Here's the thing: I access this game from a lot of locations/differing computers, but they're always the same places. However, SE's servers identify this as "suspicious," when there's absolutely nothing suspicious about it. Here's a list of my regular login places:

-Apartment A with my desktop
-Apartment A with my laptop
-The office where I work with my laptop
-My parents' house with my laptop

However, if I go too long without logging into one of these, suddenly it's "suspicious" even though I've logged in there many times before. Password reset.

Lately we've been in a wonky moving situation, so here's a bunch of other unusual login situations:

-Apartment B with my laptop
-Apartment C with my desktop (B was a problem and we were moved out of it in a week.)
-Apartment C with my desktop
-Again due to the weird moving situation, my boyfriend's account on my laptop at apartment A.

All of these required a password reset, which on the first time is fine. I get that. However, the server should actually remember that I logged in in these places instead of forgetting a week later. I've had to change my passwords more times than I can count, as often as every other day.

This brings me to the next problem: being locked out for 15+ minutes after as few as three password fails is extremely asinine. This doesn't make people's accounts more secure, it just pisses users like me off. I've had to change my password so many times I can't even remember which one it is at any given moment. I've been locked out of my account twice now, and I cannot fucking stand when this shit happens. I've about gotten to where I want to push the "forgot password" every time I log in and just make a new one, which I don't think is making anyone's account more secure.

You guys have a one-time password system for keeping accounts secure. Why all these asinine measures that just get in the regular user's way?

I've never had such an irritating experience with an MMO. No other MMO developer I've dealth with uses such extreme, ineffective measures.

That pissed me off a lot before. At the moment, what I can suggest is getting the One-Time Password app for Android or iOS. You can use your account in any computer without being locked out then.

But obviously, yeah. The account should be able to remember IPs that you've already used to log in, or at least the ones that you used recently (e.g. three days ago, etc.)
