I like to hard cast the first flare and swiftcast the second. If you swiftcast the first, sometimes your target mob dies before you can get the second flare out, your cast gets interrupted, and you have to start over. If that happens on the second flare using swiftcast, you can immediately switch to a live target and get the flare casted immediately. .

isn't it still better to swiftcast your first flare? As you stated, mob dies before you can get the second flare out, that's a good thing. It means they actually die faster lol
