Two subscriptions - want to alternate between platforms (PS4 - PC)

Not sure if this is the correct place to post...

I've had the PS4 version a few days, and now my wife decided she's interested in playing too. We have a PC, and plan on buying that version and getting her a subscription.

What we're trying to do:
Both of us want to play, with one being on PS4 and the other on PC.
HOWEVER, we each want to go between the two platforms (PS4/PC) (to trade between couch and desk )
Can this be done by logging in via our own PS4 user accounts, starting up the game, and logging in with whichever subscription account info?
Conversely, can the same be done with PC?--using the one PC copy for multiple player subscriptions?

Reiteration: We want to play at the same time, one on PC, the other on PS4, but want to know if we'll be stuck on the system/reg code we originally registered our monthly sub on or if we are free to choose either platform as long as we have our own subs (which is what we're aiming for). Hope I described well enough-! =)

PC licenses are separate from ps4 licenses. essentially, if you wanted platform independence for that, you would need both licenses for each account (4 licenses total).

If you both want to play at the same time then you will each need to own both copies of the game. That means PC+PS4 on your wifes account and PS4+PC on your own account.

Each account can have a PC, PS4 and PS3 service enabled at the same time. To enable that service type you need to have bought the game for that platform and register the code to your current service.

Each copy of the game comes with a 'key' for the system it's for - that key is attached to the account you register with it. It enables you to use that system's version of XIV under that account. You can have multiple keys registered to a single account (eg an account enabled for PS3 and PC, which can now play on either whenever it wants); however you can't register a single key to multiple accounts.

As mentioned, to do what you want, you'll need two accounts - each with a key for PC and PS3. If that sounds too expensive, have one of you pick each system and stick with that one.

Two more details nobody above mentioned yet:

1. You can get VERY cheap PS3 boxed version of the game instead of PS4 one (in UK already lesss than £3) and then upgrade it for free to PS4 version (before ned of this year). As a benefit of doing that you can then play game on PS4 without having disc in PS4.

2. With each platform registered to each account you'll get another "free" 30 days of subscription so in case of PS3 version mentioned in point 1. it's actually cheaper than 1 month sub cost If you shop around you can get also PC version at around the cost of monthly sub so in effect you'll gain access to another platform on each account for "free". "Downside" to this is that those extra days don't count towards veteran rewards so you'll receive those a month later.

It would still be only 2 subs just need to buy the game for each platform. Everything else is shared between the platforms(i.e. got collectors edition on one will of course go to the other on the same account).

Ah, okay. So just to make sure I've got it correctly -

If we both want the choice of playing on either system, we would each need a copy for both PC and PS4 of our own. With our respective subscriptions, we could link our PC copy to our PS4 copy's registration code, so we could log on to our account from either system. Meaning, we would need (in total) two copies of the PC version and two copies of the PS4 version, one subscription for me, and one subscription for her in order to be able to switch between the platforms at will.

So lucky - the game is 50% off on Steam today! The internet is begging us to start! Haha =P
