How do I write a post longer than 1000 characters?

As it says, I'd love to write more posts, but I keep getting this 1000 char. limit. I don't have a clue how to get around it, and I've seen others with REALLY long posts, so just wondering what the magic trick is....

Seriously though, Aelinau is correct - you just have to simply go back and edit your post - like I've just done (at the bottom of your post after posting there will be a new option labelled 'Edit Post'. Clicking this and then adding extra text will allow you to post more text than 1000 characters.).

I suggest writing out the whole thing in advance, though. Then it's just a quick cut and paste while editing it, so your initial stub of a post isn't left hanging there unfinished for long.
