    So regardless of what you know, it doesn't detract from the OP. Why pay for a game you can't play? Regardless of who's fault it is. Square-Enix should be dealing with this problem since it's ultimately causing them to lose subscribers. That's what a logical business does. If say my mechanic needs a part to work on my car and it's not getting delivered on time. He loses money. He could be working on another vehicle instead of waiting on parts or I could be taking my business elsewhere. Again stop white knighting. It's a square-Enix problem at the end of the day because it affects Square-Enix customers.




    But I suppose you wouldn't know how business and customer service work. Too much time finding nodes and such.

    Your analogy is flawed. It be more like having a perfectly working car that had no roads to drive on yet you complained to the mechanic like it's his fault no roads exist.


    Sure it's SE's problem because they lose money, but that doesn't for one second mean they have any power to fix it. This is a problem 100% out of there hands. I'm not a white knight because I lack ignorance about how the internet works.

    Implying finding nodes is hard. Holy shit, this generation. Apparently SE owns all known networks in the US and Canada, and therefore a customer service rep would be able to solve the issue by waving the magic "fuck you" wand.

    The best you can probably do is call your ISP support, and work with their higher tier tech support to prove where the problem is using tracert data. We have to convince the ISPs that they should do something about it so that they can put pressure on the backbone providers. I'd say the rage over lag is 100% justified, but let's point the rage train in the right direction at least.

    Sadly, this is indeed a terrible situation that is very hard to do anything about. It's stuff like this that should make people very worried about Comcast buying up TWC, and should have us VERY interested in net neutrality.

    Before bashing OP,
    I've quitted the game as well because of the lag. you people need to stop blaming ISP's because not all ISP's that are around the world are using bad routes. and also you need to stop you're sarcastic replies because honestly, people are just disappearing whether they're quitting because of lag, lack of content, or excited for other games.

    I am from Dubai and my ISP provides best services all over the middle east. One question I've been wondering about ever since ARR launched, why did they have the EU region Data centres in Canada?
    I'd like to have reasonable answer for my question, and here's a screenshot that I recently took, showing you guys the difference between a real EU region datacenter and ARR's EU datacenter that's in canada but supposed to be for EU region lol.


    for the whiteknights, yes 200ms+ does matter for some content such as pvp/primals (especially Titan)/and some others.
