This is how I rank the primals. Top to bottom is hardest to easiest. First two aren't pug friendly.

    Ramuh
    Titan

    Everything below is puggable.

    Leviathan
    Ifrit
    Garuda
Good king moogle mog (all my clears have been with pugs.)

I agree with the assessment list above....except! I'd put Garuda above Leviathan. I heal for all the EX runs and I find that Ramuh is just such an annoying pain.

The group I run with has cleared T9 and even they think that Ramuh is difficult. If you even make it beyond the insane and unpuggable DPS check, you're stuck with rolling thunder and panic. Even if people expect the number priority system to work, the rolling thunder still can become an issue...

Add onto this the insanity of the field itself. When orbs are in adds and you can't see them. There's just so much going on in the field and then OOPS, a dps collected an orb too many and one of the tanks drop.

I've also tried it with the 1 tank 3 x healer method and that one is worse. The two sch's have to be communicating to an insane amount just to coordinate Lustrates.

The rewards are awesome and I'm sure once it's on farming level, it's fine but yea...the fight is annoying and insane given that you can pug it at the ilevel that you can. Healers can maybe be lower than i100 but everyone else, nope. Not with that DPS check.

The main thing that about Ramuh EX that I've had problems with is DPS and tanks. DPS not focus firing the arbiters and tanks not provoking Ramuh so he doesn't one shot the currently tanking tank.

The arbiters though is what usually kills me on him, DPS just need to focus fire instead of splitting their DPS. Judgement Bolt kills my parties.

    It's just group jump rope.

Choose your fellow jump-ropers wisely = profit.

Don't bring any people that wanna be heroes or cowboys.

Bring people instead that can do synchronized swimming if they tried.

Everyone wants to save someone, everyone wants to be a hero.... Your love hurts, please stop... :x Your love is like lightning, burning me alive! I don't wanna be rescued, I would invite people that would listen instead!

Ramuh EX is stupidly easy. It's the other players that make it difficult.

I do agree with this, once you get past the arbiters it is just DPS Ramuh.

I feel like this could be said of ANY EX fight, really.

I think Ramuh takes a lot of practice and it helps to have a core group go in each time to practice with and quickly understand how things will be communicated. Like another poster said, this can make pugging Ramuh Ex incredibly difficult.
But if you can get a core group, just keep at it. An FC static of mine took a couple nights each week and would slowly work through the phases, and by now we have it on farm fairly easily. Just keep telling yourself 'Welp, no landslides.'

Landslides are way easier to deal with compared to Chaos Strikes because so many pugs fail at this.

A lot of pugs I've met fail pretty hard at landslides, honestly. Whether it's lag or just not knowing, who knows. But weight of the lands is another one that can be unforgiving with even just slight lag. Ramuh's moves seem less to me.

I guess if we keep making this a help thread: the best way my static learned to deal with chaotic strikes was to play waymarks in three corners of the circle. We would primarily use one until the add phase. And then as we moved around killing the adds, use another one, etc. If something screwed up and they didn't make it, then they would quickly announce over team-speak, etc.

But mentioning teamspeak...it helps a lot with communication for us. But I see how that can make PUGing it difficult, again, since most won't be utilizing that. Hopefully people who have beaten it without ever using it can offer more tips.

Yeah the DPS check is insane! I can't believe the item level requirement for Ramuh is i85. Item level freakin' 85! DPS won't make the check consistently without i100 at the least. Not that it's a bad thing, I understand why SE would let you go in there being i85. So people can get their paws wet and know how out of their league they are when they try going there under geared
