The whole time-limited exclusivity thing is especially frustrating because SE is so inconsistent about what's actually going to be time-limited exclusive. The only consistency is that they adhere vehemently to Murphy's Law. If you scramble to make sure you get something, it's practically a guarantee they'll just bring it back several times over. If you don't worry about it and it slips by, you will never see it again.

For every supposedly one-time-only things, there is just so much unnecessary outrage. It's insane!

I mean, I never played 1.X, so I missed out on a lot of stuff, some of which I really wish I could get my hands on now. I will express interest in acquiring those items and I will continue to do Quick Ventures on all of my retainers (I recently got a Maelstrom Field Potion from 1.X from my retainers, so I'm willing to bet all the rest of the 1.X stuff can be acquired through Quick Ventures at a low drop rate), but I won't make demands, rally against anyone, or threaten to quit the game over it. That's just childish.
