    More Camera Control

I like how you can hit ctrl +up/down to change the viewing angle but i think they need to take it a step further by using the left and right arrows as well. For example, if you are tanking against a wall and you can not have the camera behind you(due to it being right up your butt) so you end up rotating it to the side but half of your screen is now a wall/mountain/emptiness, so you hit ctrl + left/right to look back towards the group / mobs. This would reduce the amount of camera work you need to do and instead focus on the mobs. I have screenshots at home that i'll post later to give a better example.

If anything else have the option to shoot your character in the rule of thirds would really be nice. As a photographer it KILLS ME to always have to shoot the character centered.

I want them to bring back a Fov (Field of View) option/slider like they had in 1.0 >_> Idk... it just seems like the camera view is cramped in this game, somehow; I feel like I should be able to see more area that is otherwise off-screen around my character. Maybe it's just me.

The zoom out should be longer and it should lock on distance. Sometimes the camera moves closer depending on how you move, I don't get why.

I don't think I've missed anything in the config, so far I can't seem to keep the camera away and locked away for good when I'm in an important fight.

The camera will zoom in when it hits collision like a wall or ceiling. If it didn't the camera would go through those and well it would not be pretty and would be far more annoying than the camera zooming in to compensate.

Also there are two different camera settings, the default and legacy. The default tends to restrict and tether the camera and its behavior to player movement, most noticeably movement directions being relative to the camera and where it is looking and facing. Legacy decouples that dependency somewhat and may be closer to what you are looking for.
I recommend messing around and playing with each camera type to see which suites you the best, for example I prefer the default because I like to control movement and the camera with my mouse as I find it more intuitive and more immersive.

The camera can definitely get wonky in tight spaces like when you get backed into a wall, but normally in those instances I just swing my camera around by holding the left mouse button down and moving the mouse (default camera) so that I am then looking head on at my character and the camera isn't squished between my character and the wall.

I went in and poked around with the legacy setting... didn't feel right or maybe after almost a year of tanking (pld only one at 50) im probably way to used to the default.

In your last paragraph you explain perfectly why we need this. I too just swing the camera to face me (with the mob in the foreground) but if there is multiple mobs and i lose hate they run outta camera and while most of the times its no big deal and i scoop them back up... sometimes it can turn into quite the camera battle (meanwhile everyone dying lol)

I literally shoot all of my screen shots with the intention of cropping them. Drives me nuts.

I'm not disagreeing with what you said, I was simply providing information that you may or may not have known and giving how I deal with the situation that was brought up so that potentially I could provide a solution for you.

I personally don't have much difficulty with the situation that you described and have more issues with tab targeting getting messed up when the camera gets squeezed into tight spots, but I get what you are talking about.

I know there are a number of camera locks and other such things that are in game but rarely used. I might take a look at them later today to see if there is something that may be useful there or if not figure out how I think such things could be improved.

As far as screenshots and having your character always being the view target, I could see something like a special "screenshot mode" that could be implemented as a toggle on/off that decouples the camera from he character and then let's you move and point the camera with your basic movement controls allowing you a lot of freedom to frame as you would like to.

I would like the camera to have more freedom of movement. Sometimes I dont want my char in the picture I am trying to take and others I would like it to zoom out even more (like they did in the Shiva video).
