So... how does AV compared to... say... 2nd coil savage mode? XD

I don't know why people feel the need to keep reposting up the same thread complaining, (under the guise of making the system better), about atma. Do people really not pay attention to Live Letter translations? Atmas are going to get easier in the future, they're just still deciding when. The question has been constantly popping up, and the answer has been the same every time. It is actually fairly annoying to see Yoshi-P have to constantly answer that question when he could be answering other questions that haven't gotten answers yet.
By the way, XI has a very clear notification to not neglect real life, and the yellow journalism that is that article is asinine to link. The title alone is misleading enough because the boss didn't cause sickness, the players caused it to themselves. They were also weak if they got sick from gaming for 18-hours straight. I went 47 hours straight finishing Nexus and I didn't get sick.
It might be. From what I remember, AV was first beatable in 2 weeks from start to finish, not just 18 hours. That did make players got hospitalized, and how AV end up became insanely famous.
Btw, you kinda went overboard too with 47 straight hours, unless you're overreacting.
I just do a few fates here or there and get them. My trick is to not spend to much time at once on them.
The sleep deprivation alone can have serious consequences on people's health. Staying up that long, especially grinding out in front of a PC is very dangerous. It might be. I got them all in one day while drinking. Vodka confirmed for atma rate increase.
People would then say that the suposed-to-be casual equivalent weapons aren't casual anymore. If many people are stuck in T5 (not judging them, just stating a fact), there is no actual challenge you could place on the relic quest lines for people taking a non-raid path for a weapon. Although I said in another thread, I would love more primals involved in new steps.I for once would prefer fewer upgrades to former Relict weapons but meaningful ones. Tied to a real quest, tied to boss fights. It must not be as hard as Coil to keep it available to the majority of players but hey, Titan HM was a road block once and we all succeeded so what speaks against a new challenge of this Caliber?
@Topic: Someone posted in this thread that after his/her first atma completed they seemed to drop easier. I've noticed somewhat the same. My first atma weapon (WHM) was a real pain, taking days to drop a single one (farming 5~6 hours a day). One of them took me 16 hours straight farming nonstop (I bought so much Coke with this tho :>). When I decided (internal crying) to do another atma weapon, this time for my SCH, the rate seemed surprisingly high. I dropped couple of them on 1st fates, and the rest with not so many fates after. My SCH atma was done in 2 days (technically less as I only farmed a few hours per day) resulting in obtaining 3 atmas on first day and 9 atmas on the next day. After making both of them Novus (SCH 60% to Nexus), I decided to make my BLM Atma, which I finished yesterday. On BLM it took me 3 days, farming casually (not even 2 hours a day). 3 of them dropped on 1st fates, and a bunch of them dropped within 10 fates on each zone. There was only 1 zone (western thanalan) that took more than 1 hour. This could be a thing, or could be extremely luck on RNG but some friends who did the same, experienced it too.
Note: This is speculation.
They really need to stop shoving FATE to us on every single activities.... I mean, if you are going to do that make it so that it rewards other stuffs than just GC Seals, or add more items to the GC list. Stop being LAZY, SE!! The Atma drop rate is a real fiasco. Just make it has higher chance to drop after you do five FATES in that same region. And add small amount of tomes to the FATE drop so people don't feel they farm for hours and get pitiful rewards.
