As a tank, I know it sucks. But to be honest, it's pretty much the only queue that isn't instant for us.
ST with 6 tanks would just be retarded. You hardly need more than one tank for the entire raid.

This, exactly. Every other queue in the game is quick for us. We are in no way entitled to ask for such a change to be made. Just tough it out like the DPS do for once.
Not to mention Syrcus Tower just feels better than Labyrinth of the Ancients did. 6 tanks in a raid felt really forced, whereas I'll admit 3 tanks to a 24-man raid feels more....natural for lack of better words.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
The queues feel that long for dps as well. I've waited no more than 20-25 min as a tank for ST, but it can easily be pushed to 45 min on dps due to member withdrawals. Make sure not to mark the "join in progress" checkbox when queuing as a tank since it always feels like it holds off on matching you up with a "new" group until you've reached a time threshold.
It's easy to get spoiled by the insta-queues for tanks, but you are definitely not entitled to a wait free experience. In fact, maybe longer queues are just what's needed to humble certain players who constantly ask to be kicked or kick someone in order to leave without penalty so they can insta-queue again for a different dungeon/party from the roulette.
