My feisty little chocobo quest problem

Steps:
1. In order to receive the chocbo at level 30 I need to take the quest named "my fiesty little chocobo "
2. I did all the requirements for the quest but when I go to the NPC the icon of the quest is red .
3. When I press on the NPC it says " the quest is not yet available " and there is no conditions to say what I need to do to unlock the quest .

You have to finish the quest for receiving your normal chocobo AND use the chocobo whistle you receive from that quest to add it to your list of mounts as that's the only version of chocobo that can be used as a companion.

I already did that and I can mount my chocobo "the fat one" any time and I was doing it for a while now .

You need a GC Chocobo for it.

The "Fat One" can't be used as companion.

According to Lodestone, your character (Kid Hugo) does NOT have the regular chocobo listed as one of the mounts you have access to. The chocobo whistle you would have received from completing the quest "My Little Chocobo" will still need to be used from within your inventory in order for it to be added to your list of usable mounts and is the only version that will let you start the quest your having a problem gaining access to.

In other words, just use the "Chocobo Whistle" in your inventory to add the regular chocobo to your list of owned mounts and it should allow you to start the quest, "My feisty little chocobo".

Yep, having a license to ride mounts in general is not enough. You need, specifically, the GC chocobo. There's no quest for receiving your GC chocobo. You need to buy it with 2000 GC seals from the GC.

Finaly ! Thanks dud .. that worked for me ... i used it again . I read some where that u can only use it once and u can't use it again .. now the quest is unlocked . Thanks again guys . Just to make things clear .. i already did every thing .. but u have to use the chocobo whistle twice .. "the fat and regular chocobo" .

Also you have the fat chocobo from the collectors edition so you should also have the coeurl mount. You can summon the coeurl mount with the coeurl bell. Which should either be in your moogle mail or already in your inventory.

So you know for future reference, this is how all mounts (and minions) work. You get an item in your inventory to use. That item does disappear when you use it, but it also adds the mount in question to your mount collection, so you can use the mount itself from then on.
