How come there's no option to run this game in 640x480?

I play the 3DS XL, the normal one is too small. The difference between those and XIV though is that any game made on a mobile device is made for that resolution where XIV obviously is not.

but... but... I can slip the small one in my pocket real easy and still a breather. XL are too big for my pocket. lol
